Malcolm McDowell (born Malcolm John Taylor, 13 June 1943) is an English actor, known for his boisterous and sometimes villainous roles, whose career spans more than five decades. He trained as an actor at the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art.
McDowell is known for the films If...., O Lucky Man!, Caligula and A Clockwork Orange, the last of which earned him a Golden Globe nomination for his portrayal of Alex DeLarge. He has played varied roles in films and television series of different genres, including The Employer, Tank Girl, Franklin and Bash, Time After Time, Star Trek Generations, the television series Our Friends in the North, Entourage, Heroes, Metalocalypse. He has lent his voice to several animated roles as well such as Ra's Al Ghul's son Arkady Duvall in Batman: The Animated Series and as Metallo in Superman: The Animated Series as well as to the animated film Bolt. He appeared in a music video for the 2009 Slipknot song "Snuff". He narrated the 1982 documentary The Compleat Beatles. He received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 2012.
His third wife (1991–present) is Kelley Kuhr, 24 years his junior, with whom he has three sons: Beckett Taylor (born January 29, 2004), Finnian Anderson (born December 23, 2006), and Seamus Hudson (born January 7, 2009). He is the maternal uncle of actor Alexander Siddig. He and his nephew both appeared in the film Doomsday by director Neil Marshall. The McDowells currently live in Ojai, California. He became a grandfather in January 2012 when daughter Lilly McDowell Walton gave birth to a girl, Clementine Mae.

McDowell's first wife (1975-80) was actress and publicist Margot Bennett. His second wife (1980–90) was actress Mary Steenburgen, whom he met and fell in love with while filming Time After Time. Ce film raconte l'épopée d'un jeune groupe de rock anglo-américain. The movie opens with Daphne Blake trying to pass her driver's test and get her license. She is in the Mystery Machine. In a dystopian near-future, Syd March (Caleb Landry Jones) is employed by the Lucas Clinic, a company which purchases viruses and other pathogens from celebrities who fall ill, in order to inject them into clients who desire a connection with celebrities. In particular, the pathogens supplied by the Lucas Clinic's exclusive celebrity Hannah Geist are extremely popular, and another employee at the clinic, Derek Lessing (Reid Morgan), is responsible for harvesting them from Hannah directly. To make extra money, Syd uses his own body as an incubator, steals pathogens from the lab, and sells them on the black market. To do so, he uses a stolen console to break the copy protection placed on the virus by the clinic; once injected in a client, the pathogen is rendered incommunicable. He then passes the pathogens to Arvid (Joe Pingue), who works at Astral Bodies, a celebrity meat market where meat is grown from the cells of celebrities for consumption.
