Synopsis
Cerasella est une jeune fille napolitaine sur le point d'épouser Alfredo. Ne l'aimant pas, peu avant le mariage, il s'échappe en se réfugiant sur un petit bateau où il rencontre le riche et beau Bruno qui, à son tour, s'apprête à épouser Nora. Le père de Bruno fait pression pour que son fils quitte Nora, soupçonnant que la fille ne s'intéresse qu'à la fortune de la famille et non au fils. Bruno n'accepte pas l'ultimatum de son père qui le déserte. Le garçon a maintenant perdu sa fortune ainsi que Nora qui, compte tenu de la situation, décide de le quitter.Actors

Luciano, qui étudie à l'université, tombe amoureux de Sandra, une lycéenne fille d'une riche famille. Finalement les sentiments de Lazzarella l'emporteront sur les motifs pécuniaires et elle retrouve l'amour de Luciano.

The story is set in Rome in 1900. In a seedy area of the city, "borgataro" Nino Patroni, called in Roman dialect "Er Più of Borgo Santo Spirito", seeks to marry a fellow rogue with his sister. Nino also tries to fix himself with the beautiful turbines Rosa, but the girl is disputed by the protagonist with the squire Augustarello, leader of a gang of thugs in the village adverse to that of Nino. After moments of respite and battles with stab wounds, Nino manages to make peace with the family of Augustarello; as a matter of fact, after Nino wounded in a duel, Augustarello accidentally killes himself with his stab.
