Chance of a Lifetime is a 1991 television film. It stars Betty White, Leslie Nielsen, and Ed Begley, Jr..

The romance-comedy movie follows a woman named Evelyn (played by Betty White) who receives news from her doctor that she only has 6 months to live. She sets off on a vacation to Mexico where she meets a man named Lloyd (Leslie Nielson), and the two fall in love. The pair are both widowers and spend time "learning to live again", but Evelyn soon finds out that her original diagnosis was wrong. Faced with the fact that she has longer than 6 months, Evelyn has to decide whether she wants to stay in a relationship with Lloyd.

Tomás Ramírez (Raúl Juliá) is a professor who joins a clinic run by Anna Lenke (Vanessa Redgrave), a Holocaust survivor, psychologist and the clinic's proprietor, whose patients are also recovering Holocaust and torture victims. Among them is Helen McNulty (Laura Dern), a journalist tortured by the death squads of an unidentified Central American country controlled by a dictatorship. In time she grows close to Ramírez, but suspicions are aroused when three men attempt to detain him while he and McNulty are on a date. McNulty is able to photograph one of the assailants and sends the picture to a colleague for possible identification.

Lorie Brindel is a young marine surveyor who is attracted to older men, including one of her clients, Ed Bledsoe, a much older and twice-divorced man. After some flirting during her assessment of his yacht, they begin to date. While he is away on a business trip, Lorie moves in without asking. Although unhappy about it, he eventually relents and allows her to stay. As times passes, Lorie becomes more controlling of her romance with Ed, demanding that he be with her at all hours as well as have nobody else in his life. Lorie soon completely unravels from Ed's lack of commitment, and she cannot stand it when he chooses a golf tournament with some friends over her romantic weekend. Ed, never sure about their relationship in the first place, decides he's had enough and orders her to move out that day.

Frank Drebin (Leslie Nielsen) has retired from Police Squad and lives a basically happy life with his wife, Jane Spencer-Drebin (Priscilla Presley). It remains "basically happy" because police work has been Frank's meaning of life, and he feels unhappy about not being able to legally take on criminals anymore. Additionally, Jane tries to push him into siring a child, but Frank does not have the courage to go through this yet. It comes as a blessing to him when his old friends Ed Hocken (George Kennedy) and Nordberg (O.J. Simpson) come by and ask for his help in an investigation. The Police Squad has caught wind that a well-known bomber named Rocco Dillon (Fred Ward), who is currently incarcerated, has been hired by a terrorist (Papshmir, known from the first movie) to conduct a major terrorist act against the United States. An important contact, Tanya Peters (Anna Nicole Smith), Rocco's girlfriend, proves to be a dead end, so Drebin is asked to join Dillon undercover in prison, befriend him, and then leak details of the plan to his colleagues. However, the first part of the mission – by pure accident – proves to be extremely taxing; Jane becomes frustrated both at Frank's sudden unwillingness to engage in his marital duties and the suspicion that he is doing police work again, and storms out of the house.

In 71 BC in Rome, utter disorder reigns in the form of political corruption and bribery involving the senator Cynic (Leslie Nielsen). The situation is claimed to be similar to the "Tangentopoli" situation in Italy in the 1990s: one of the politicians involved was Bettino Craxi. These claims that the law is deeply respected by everyone, and being part of the party of "Padania" (Northern Italy), considered as a real League's most political of Rome real arrant thieves. Caesar strives to break free from the hassles of Antonio, who initially proves to be a fiasco as an administrator of justice in the corrupt city of Rome. He even considers killing him, but does not dare to do so because in the end even if it deceives the people is good hearted. In addition to the shoulders of their parents, the daughter of Antonio and his son Cesare began an affair, but do not have the courage to reveal to parents as they fight all the time. One night Atticus finally able to fit politically Servilio making the guards drunk and find clinging to the prostitutes, including craving "Poppea" (Anna Falchi) and it does transfer in Sicily.
