Synopsis

Cheol-soo (Cha Seung-won ) est beau et en bonne forme physique, mais il est mentalement lent. Il vit avec la famille de son frère cadet (Park Hae-joon ) et travaille dans leur restaurant. Un jour, une femme âgée (Kim Hye-ok ) arrête sa voiture et lui demande de l'aider à trouver l'hôpital le plus proche. Là, elle lui demande de passer un test sanguin. La femme est en fait son ex-belle-mère. Cheol-soo rencontre également Saet-byeol (Um Chae-young) à l'hôpital, sa fille atteinte de leucémie. Plus tard, Saet-byeol se glisse hors de l'hôpital pour se rendre à Daegu afin d'obtenir l'autographe d'un célèbre joueur de baseball. L'autographe est un cadeau d'anniversaire pour son amie à l'hôpital. Cheol-soo se joint à Saet-byeol dans son voyage.

Jae-sung (Lee Joon), un acteur en herbe dont la carrière est au point mort, se prépare à se suicider. Voice actor Gu Dong-gun (Ryoo Seung-bum) is in a predicament as his blind girlfriend Jang Hae-ju (Shin Min-a) suddenly receives surgery to regain her eyesight. Having lied to Hae-ju about his appearance, the insecure Dong-gun chooses to undergo extreme measures to change his appearance, while promising Hae-ju that he will return soon after a project in Hawaii. Lee Yoon-ki's deadpan comedy trails a pair of former lovers – he's a charismatic romantic and she's a no-nonsense realist – who bump into each other one year down the road. Hee-soo isn't the type of person to say what's on her mind, but you can tell that something is wrong. When, at a horseracing stadium, she tracks down her ex-boyfriend Byung-woon, her voice is laced with fury. "I want my money," she says, skipping even the barest of greetings. Byung-woon, for his part, looks like a man trapped. Despite his nervous smiles and warm assurances (that seem slightly dodgy), you can guess from the outset that he doesn't have the ₩3.5 million (US$3 500) that he borrowed from her a year earlier. "Don't worry," he tells her, "for sure I can get it for you by the end of the day." Not believing him, but not willing to let him out of her sight until she gets paid, she accompanies him for the day as he visits various old friends and acquaintances (all women) and tries to sweet talk his way into a loan. As both day and debt are whittled down, the pair fall back into old patterns, rehash unsettled gripes, and slowly come to see each other in a new light.

Eighteen-year-old Do Wan-deuk (Yoo Ah-in) lives with his hunchback father Gak-seol (Park Su-yeong) and stuttering uncle Min-gu (Kim Young-jae), former cabaret clowns now having to work in open-air markets after the closure of the nightclub they used for many years. En 1994, le premier jour où le chanteur Yoo Yeol devient DJ du programme radiophonique Music Album, Mi-soo (Kim Go-eun) rencontre Hyeon-woo (Jeong Hae-in ). Jeong-hae's life is as monotonous as her job at the post office.
