It stars Romina Yan, and is based on the television series of same name which began on Argentine television in 1995.
The film was released in Argentina on July 12, 2001, and is produced by Cris Morena, creator of Chiquititas original television series.
Alongside Yan, it guest stars Facundo Arana as her romantic interest (also from the television show, third and fourth seasons), Franklin Caicedo as the Wise Man, Alejandra Flechner and Juan Leyrado as the antagonists. The young cast is formed by Camila Bordonaba, Benjamín Rojas, Felipe Colombo, Luisana Lopilato, Nadia Di Cello, Natalia Melcon, Cristian Belgrano, Sebastián Francini, Agustín Sierra, and Brian Vainberg as Tok the Elf, all of them from the show's sixth season, Chiquititas 2000.
Synopsis
Belén is a young woman who leaves her world of magic, music and fantasy, in order to live her own fairy tale, following the offerings from an old Wise Man and his tiny elf assistant, Tok. She picks a story she is going to create by living it. As Belén starts reading the Tale of the Blue Diamonds, she is taken to a small village where she immediately looks for a job. Through the handsome miner Alejo, Belén learns about the legend of the Blue Diamonds surrounding that region. Nearby the kindly town, she discovers the Rincón de Niños Huerfanos, a horrendous place where a group of oppressed young orphans is forced into heavy labor. Their masters are the Colonel Estévez and the janitor Marga. The lives of the young prisoners are touched and changed after Belén starts working at the manor, as she relieves their pain, filing their lives with love and songs. Belén helps the children in her persistence toward a better life, that guides them to Alejo and the Diamonds themselves, also wanted by Estévez.Actors

The movie starts with Junpei being kidnapped by a member of Strega, Chidori Yoshino, while Makoto and the rest are fighting Takaya, Jin, and the Shadow Arcana Hanged Man. As they're fighting, Makoto is knocked unconscious and sees a vision of Pharos, telling Makoto that he will be leaving despite Makoto's plead for him not to. Awakened, Makoto and his friends succeed in defeating the Shadow Arcana and save Junpei. Following the Shadow's defeat, Takaya and Jin retreat while Chidori is captured by SEES. The next day, Makoto and his friends along with Takeharu Kirijo decide to celebrate their victory for defeating all twelve Shadow Arcana and destroying Dark Hour. However, during the celebration party when the time reaches midnight, the Dark Hour started, shocking them. They then confront Ikutsuki at Tartarus, revealing that he had changed the recordings made by Yukari's father to lead them to defeating the twelve Shadow Arcana, which will bring the end of the world known as "The Fall". Using Aigis' controller, he controls Aigis to capture and crucify all SEES members except Takeharu whom Aigis holds at gunpoint. Takeharu breaks free and shoots Ikutsuki, but he is fatally shot as well by the latter, killing him. Just before Aigis could kill them, she regains control of herself and instead frees her friends. Cornered, Ikutsuki falls to his death from the tower due to his gunshot wound.

The film begins with the Spice Girls performing "Too Much" on Top of the Pops, but they later become dissatisfied with the burdens of it. Meanwhile, sinister newspaper owner Kevin McMaxford (Barry Humphries) is attempting to ruin the girls' reputation for his newspaper's ratings. McMaxford dispatches photographer Damien (Richard O'Brien) to take pictures and tape recordings of the girls. Less threatening but more annoying is documentarian Piers Cuthbertson-Smyth (Alan Cumming), who stalks the girls along with his camera crew, hoping to use them as subjects for his next project. The film begins on Halloween night 1939, revolving around the fate of five people - singer Carolyn Crosson, her boyfriend Gilbert London, child actress Sally Shine (who is modeled after child actress, Shirley Temple), her nanny Emeline Partridge, and bellhop Dewey Todd.
