Synopsis
Curry and Pepper are two CID detectives that do not take their jobs seriously. When newspaper reporter Joey Law decides to film a documentary about daily police life, she chooses to film Curry and Pepper. As Curry and Pepper fight for Joey's affection, their friendship is seriously jeopardized. Eventually, the two reconcile and work together to take down a vicious hit man named Abalone.Actors

Taiwan's uprising gang leader Lee Yan-chak uses violence to wipe out Taiwan's competing forces and won Asia's largest arms smuggling market. Because the smuggling group is powerfully armed, the military decided to set up a special group, where the leader chooses fighting pilots Chow Chun-kit and Lau Ka-lun to be trained by Colonel Ng. Kit was sent undercover to investigate on Lee's evidence of crime. Subsequently, Lee's men notices Kit. Lee also notices Kit's hale personality and takes him under his wing. In a choice of his task and his personal relationship, Kit chose task as the main importance and assisted the Special Force in infiltrating the arms base, while Lee plays dead and escapes from the law.

Fred and Keith were childhood friends who dreamed of being triad members. As their became adults, they have achieved the dream and joined many gangs. However, after all the boss dies, the two were considered as jinxes by people and no gangs want to take them in. The two then depend on themselves to do business and got a prostitute from Singapore, Jane. Jane, however, believed she was supposed to be model and the two of them did not have courage to put her to work. Jane is also later found out to be a lesbian. Later, famous triad leader Kwan comes and takes Fred and Keith in to prove to people that he is invulnerable to their jinx. Under Kwan, these two manage to become triad heroes. However, later thing go wrong and Kwan is turned against the two and they must strike back to protect themselves.

Restaurant waiter Sing (Stephen Chow) has always been obsessed with manhuas featuring triads and hoping to be part of them. One time, Sing rescues triad leader Wai Kit (Peter Yang), whom takes Sing under his wing. Sing also becomes good friends with Wai's underlings Chun (Wilson Lam) and Bill (Shing Fui-On). Later, Wai intends to retire and chooses his successor from the aforementioned trio. Then, the trio were sent to the Golden Triangle for trading activities, although faced obstacles, but successfully completed the mission. However, after returning to Hong Kong, due to conflicts in the gang, Bill is killed, Sing becomes an outcast and Chun also dies while rescuing Sing. The melancholic Sing then leave the underworld.

In Shanghai during the 1930s, Sing and his friend Bone attempt to join the Deadly Axe Gang which ruthlessly control the city under leadership of Brother Sum. Sing seeks to restore his confidence after being humiliated as a young boy while trying to protect a mute girl from bullies, due to the failure of the Buddhist Palm method he had learned from a pamphlet he bought from beggar. Sing and Bone attempt to intimidate the residents of Pig Sty Alley but are chased off by its Landlady. Hearing of this, Sum orders Sing and Bone captured, while sending the Gang to reassert its authority from the humiliation. Three of the tenants, Coolie, Fairy, and Donut, are revealed as martial arts masters and defeat more than fifty of the Gang. Fearing retribution, the Landlady evicts the three, but they meet a pair of hired assassins using a magical guqin to launch invisible blades. Coolie is beheaded, and Fairy and Donut are mortally wounded before the Landlady and her husband the Landlord reveal that they too are martial arts masters, having gone into self-exile after the death of their son. The two defeat the assassins but Fairy and Donut die from their wounds. The Landlords temporarily evacuate the other tenants for their safety.

Jet fuel is stolen by weapons smugglers. The Five Lucky Stars, one of them being replaced by a younger brother, are assigned by the police to allow an actress to live with them. The actress has information on a crime syndicate and assassins are sent after her. Ricky (Yuen Biao) and Swordflower are to stay at the actress’s home undercover to capture the assassins. Throughout the course of the movie, the Stars chase the attractive woman around the house, though their efforts are largely unsuccessful. At the climax, the three assassins eventually end up at a recreation building to take down Swordflower (mistaking her to be their target), but coincidentally Kidstuff (Sammo Hung) and his friends are there and they recognize one of them, with help from the actress. Muscle (Jackie Chan) and Ricky arrive in the nick of time and a showdown takes place, eventually ending with the protagonists victorious. The police and a large ensemble of Chinese actors arrive to congratulate them.
