Barry Wong, de son vrai nom Wong Ping-yiu (黃炳耀, 20 novembre 1946 - 16 octobre 1991) est un scénariste, producteur et acteur hongkongais, reconnu comme l'un des plus prolifiques scénaristes du cinéma hongkongais. Il a écrit pour les plus grands réalisateurs et acteurs, autant pour des films d'action que des comédies, dans les années 1980 et au début des années 1990 avant de décéder brutalement d'une crise cardiaque le 16 octobre 1991.

Comme acteur, il est connu pour ses rôles secondaires où il porte la plupart du temps des lunettes à monture d'écaille .

Au cours de sa carrière, il a collaboré avec Tsui Hark, Stephen Chow, Eric Tsang, Sammo Hung, Danny Lee, John Woo, Jackie Chan et Wong Jing. Le film culte de John Woo, À toute épreuve, lui est dédié après sa mort.

A Hong Kong assassin, Ah Jong, is on his last job for the Triad (a criminal organization), but accidentally damages the eyes of a young nightclub singer named Jennie with a muzzle flash in a shootout. The Lucky Stars go on an island vacation and discover a nympho ghost in a castle near their cabin. Four policewomen come to investigate and the boys try to put the moves on them. After many failed attempts, one of the policewomen, Lai Ti, is possessed by a male ghost that is residing in the castle. The gang take her back to Hong Kong where they learn that the ghost wants revenge for his death. The gang are more than willing to oblige if the ghost helps them cheat in gambling. This all leads to the inevitable showdown where Kidstuff uses his kung fu skills to fight the ghost's killers.
