The film fetched good initial collection primarily due to the Super hit songs composed by Bappi Lahiri. It was the eighth highest grossing Bollywood film of 1993.
Synopsis
Dalaal is the story of the illiterate Bhola Nath, who escorts young women to meet with their brothers. Bhola is enthusiastic and works diligently to earn the respect of everyone around him; but one day, during the course of his duties, he meets a beautiful woman named Roopali, who makes him understand the true nature of his job: that of a pimp. Whether Bhola will realize his mistake and redeem himself forms the climax.Actors

A young, dashing, and honest Police Inspector, who lives with Mr. and Mrs. Prasad, goes to a small town in Southern India to be introduced to a prospective bride, Koyal, the daughter of Gopinath. The Police Inspector falls head over heels in love with Koyal and wants to marry her. Koyal too falls in love with him. Bharti, a law student, lives with her widower and blind dad. Ravi Shankar Singh is a singer and dancer; Bharti is a fan of him and never misses his music concerts. One day Bharti is shocked to see Ravi being arrested by the police. She finds out that Ravi has confessed to the killing of a man, Rana Singh, and will soon be hanged.
