Kader Khan is an Indian film actor, comedian, script and dialogue writer, as well as director. He has appeared in over 300 films after his debut in the 1973 film Daag in which he acted as a prosecuting attorney. Khan graduated from Ismail Yusuf College affiliated to Bombay University. Before entering the film industry in the early 1970s, he taught at M. H. Saboo Siddik College of Engineering, Mumbai as a professor of Civil Engineering.

Pintoo (Arjun Kapoor) is a young Kabbadi player who goes to factionism-hit Mathura to take part in practice. There, in a twist of fate, he saves Radhika (Sonakshi Sinha) from Gajendar Singh (Manoj Bajpayee), a dangerous faction leader, who is in love with Radhika and wants to marry her against her wishes. Pintoo tries to comfort her because Gajendar Singh killed her brother. When he saves Radhika, he humiliates Gajendar into taking his pants off. Sooraj (Sooraj Pancholi) is a gangster from Mumbai who meets Radha (Athiya Shetty), daughter of city's Chief of Police during a party . Sooraj, under instructions from his gangster father, Pasha (Aditya Pancholi), kidnaps Radha because Radha's father brought evidence against Pasha in court, and kidnaps Radha in the guise of a police officer, by telling her that he received instructions from the police to take her away from city as there is a threat that Pasha and his gang will kidnap Radha unless they move for some time. During these days they slowly fall in love. One day the police tracks them and Sooraj and Radha escape but Sooraj is shot in the arm when trying to jump over a broken bridge and they both fall in water . Later they are rescued by a group of monks but it is said that Radha and Sooraj are dead to Radha's father. Sooraj is unconscious . After a couple of days Sooraj is conscious when Radha tells about her love to him. Later he confesses to Radha that he had kidnapped her. Radha has however fallen in love with Sooraj. Radha tells Sooraj to surrender and Sooraj is sent to jail for 2 years . During that time Radha's brother Dheeraj (Sharad Kelkar) asks her to go to Paris .

The movie starts off with 4 friends Kalim (Angad Bedi), Gautam (Neil Bhoopalam), Maya (Kangana Ranaut) and Abhay (Randeep Hooda) starting a gang called the "Ungli" gang which fights against corruption. Their job is to bug corrupt people and teach them moral lessons quite unconventionally. They target a corrupt minister and become the most wanted people in Mumbai. Their case is the responsibility of ACP Ashok Kale (Sanjay Dutt), whose pal Nikhil Abhyankar (Emraan Hashmi) shortly joins the gang. But soon, after he faces trouble, Kaale is compelled to seek help from the gang when Nikhil helps him expose the gang's greatest target, B.R. Dayal (Mahesh Manjrekar) and his son Anshuman. Kaale instigates a sting operation against the Mumbai police and is successful in preventing his transfer. Kaale thanks the "Ungli" gang and he assures them that the city won't need an "Ungli" gang as long as the administrations are running properly in accordance to public demands.

Basant (Govinda) is a guy who gets what he wants, sneakingly. He is friends with Vasant. At an antique shop, Basant and Vasant see an antique duck made of glass. Basant purposely drops to break it because he cannot afford it. One day, Basant sees Priya (Priyanka Chopra) and is head over heels in love with her. She proceeds to draw a smiley face on the glass frame. Basant tries to run after her but he spots her earring. Meanwhile Vasnat wants to enter a music competition but on the way their car hits a girl on a bike, which is Priya. She is in hospital and requires A1B blood. However Vasant is there (because the people who knocked her over took Vasant's car so he chased them) Vasant has the correct blood type and donates blood to save Priyas life. However this small event leads to the cancellation of the competition. Vasant is unaware the girl Basant boasts about is Priya the girl he knocked over. When Priya wants to contact Vasant to thank him for the blood donation, she unknowingly calls Basant but he doesn't know it is the girl he wants. The next day, Basant and Vasant along with Satya and Prakash await the call but a music group calls insisting that Vasant must present himself there. Just after Vasant leaves, Priya calls, but says that Vasant must meet her at the Railway Station to Jodhpur. She is wearing a blue cap, has a blue top and is carrying an English novel. A call follows, and there is a problem with the boys so Vasant has to leave. When Basant sees it is the girl he wants, he plays a pretext he is Vasant instead. Basant goes home and finds his friend smoking and thinking about his guru because he is in hospital. One day, Priya calls Basant's (Vasant's) house but his mother picks up the phone. Her stupid sister blatanly says an old woman and the mother thinks they are referring to her, Basant takes the phone and speaks expletives unaware it is Priya. Vasant (the real one) goes for a music job, he has a cassette and meets Uncle ~Shakti Kapoor). He calls Priya to help him out. The plot thickens, when, just before Vasant goes for the interview Basant tells him to change his name to Ranjini Priya for good luck and he meets Priya. Both are unaware that Priya sees the boy who saved her life and Vasant (Ranjini Priya) donates blood to a girl he didn't know because he never see her.

Sagar Hussain (Rajpal Yadav) is in Jail as an under trial prisoner having charge against him of regularly raping his own three daughters. No one was agreed to defend his case in the Court and he was also facing hatred and cruelty from every person in jail and society. But a noble but influential prisoner Nadir (Mukesh Tiwari) gave him company and listened to him. Sagar got his belief back and informed him in writing the entire happenings. After knowing everything, Nadir influenced a renowned lawyer Ravi Vishnoi (Kader Khan) to fight his case. After a long trial and critical interrogation and cross interrogation between Ravi Vishnoi and the Public Prosecutor Anand Verma (Prem Chopra), fact became unfolded. Sagar's wife Sabeena (Monica Castelino) was proved to be a prostitute who with the help of her associate put their daughters in flesh trade. When the elder one resisted due to a call of humanity, they murdered her. Incidentally the murdering scene got recorded in daughter's mobile. The film ends with Sagar released from the Jail after being respectfully exonerated by the honourable court of law. The film is considered as a landmark film in the league of non-main stream films of Bollywood.
