Synopsis
Le jour de son entrée à l'Université, Shane rencontre Brandon, son camarade de chambre et membre de son équipe de lutte. Très vite, ils deviennent très amis, au point de Brandon emmène Shane chez lui pour le week-end. Tout se passe très bien entre les deux colocataires jusqu’à ce qu'un autre membre de l'équipe fasse sous-entendre à Shane que Brandon se lient d'amitié très rapidement pour ensuite très rapidement oublier ses amis. Cela rappelle à Shane ce que son père lui répétait constamment qu'il « ne ferait rien de sa vie » et qu'il était « un bon à rien ». Shane se met alors à douter et commence à espionner Brandon, notamment en installant un logiciel espion sur son ordinateur. Lorsque Brandon s'en rend compte, il est furieux et décide de déménager. Puis, un jour alors que Brandon part en randonnée, Shane le rattrape et ils se disputent. Brandon tombe dans un ravin et alors que Shane a l'occasion de lui sauver la vie, il le laisse tomber après lui avoir demandé si son colocataire a parlé de leur différend à ses parents, ce qu'il n'avait pas fait. Shane décide alors d'aller à l'enterrement puis va voir les parents de Brandon qui décident de l'héberger. Rapidement, une relation amoureuse se développe entre Caren, la mère de Brandon, et Shane.Actors

After the body of murdered woman is found, nude and handcuffed, floating down the Hudson River in New York, a string of murders occur by an unseen serial killer who kills men by handcuffing them before killing them. Mac, a TV talk-show host, and Larry, a police detective, team up to try to find the killer and seek help from Virna, a clairvayant young artist, who draws visions of the murders before they happen. On a beach in Australia, two American surfers say goodbye to each other as one is about to leave for his flight back to California. The two men don't notice the large number of dead birds on the beach. On the flight, the surfer returning home starts coughing up blood and dies before the plane can land. Back in Australia, the other surfer is found dead in his apartment. Kayla Martin (Tiffani Thiessen) is a medical doctor with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) who has been assigned to the case. She and the local officials carry the body of the surfer out of the plane and start processing people to be put in quarantine until they can be evaluated for exposure. During the transfer, one of the passengers escapes to complete a business deal and unknowingly spreads the virus throughout Los Angeles. It is also revealed that outbreaks of the so-called "riptide virus" (as it comes to be known), an offshoot of the bird flu, are occurring in other cities around the world.
