Shane se met alors à douter et commence à espionner Brandon, notamment en installant un logiciel espion sur son ordinateur. Lorsque Brandon s'en rend compte, il est furieux et décide de déménager. Puis, un jour alors que Brandon part en randonnée, Shane le rattrape et ils se disputent. Shane décide alors d'aller à l'enterrement puis va voir les parents de Brandon qui décident de l'héberger. Rapidement, une relation amoureuse se développe entre Caren, la mère de Brandon, et Shane.

She rides to the Mexican border, kidnaps the little boy and blackmails Elena's father-in-law for $2 million. The police discover her whereabouts and she flees, accidentally crashing her car through the wall dividing United States and Mexico. There, the boy is kidnapped in turn by Mexican kidnappers. Her friend Mitch (Saul Rubinek) arrives in Mexico and gives Julia the ransom money. During the exchange, the Mexican kidnappers escape with the money, leaving the boy safely with Julia.

When passenger Parker, a tough, slightly unstable Nam vet, manages to kill one of the attackers, he and the fellow passenger, everyman Taylor, lead the other survivors to a safe haven, only to have part of their number captured. Brought to a training base, the captured are forced to watch a neo-Nazi horrifically murder an air steward and a priest. He remaining passengers gather what weapons they can find and make a rough attempt at storming the camp in hopes of recovering their lost friends. At the camp, a musician's girlfriend is shot and killed by an obese terrorist wielding an AK-47 assault rifle. The bandleader, Sean, attacks and loses a fight with the Nazi, and the rocker's female bandmate is taken away to be attacked and raped by "Señor Sida" (Mr. AIDS), leader of the AIDS brigade who hope to begin an US AIDS epidemic.
