The Enclave (De Enclave) is a three-part series directed by Willem van de Sande Bakhuyzen, about the fall of Srebrenica and the Dutch government's failure to protect the town from attackers. The series originally aired by Netherlands Public Broadcasting. The series was made in 2002. It has since been condensed into a movie and is regularly shown on US free satellite network LinkTV.

In the original series, each episode describes the Srebrenica massacre from three different points of view and how the event continues to control the characters. In the movie version, only two points of view were shown.

The movie starts off with a man, named Schlomo (Lionel Abelanski), running crazily through a forest, with his voice playing in the background, saying that he has seen the horror of the Nazis in a nearby town, and he must tell the others. Once he gets into town, he informs the rabbi, and together they run through the town and once they have got enough people together, they hold a town meeting. At first, many of the men do not believe the horrors they are being told, and many criticize Schlomo, for he is the town lunatic, and who could possibly believe him? But the rabbi believes him, and then they try to tackle the problem of the coming terrors. Amidst the pondering and the arguing, Schlomo suggests that they build a train, so they can escape by deporting themselves. Some of their members pretend to be Nazis in order to ostensibly transport them to a concentration camp, when in reality, they are going to Palestine via Russia. Thus the Train of Life is born.

Malgré cela, les trois hommes résistent en repensant aux moments heureux de leur vie, en communiquant en frappant sur les murs ou en mettant en évidence l'absurdité du régime pénitentiaire. Ils font échouer ainsi le plan des militaires de les rendre fous faute de pouvoir les tuer.

A contingent of Italian prisoners of war arrive on a train from Germany after World War II to Turin.
