Synopsis
Le Dr Paul Kersey est un chirurgien urgentiste, honnête et non violent, menant une vie de rêve dans les beaux quartiers de Chicago. Cependant, sa vie bascule après un cambriolage qui tourne mal : sa femme Lucy est sauvagement tuée et sa fille Jordan, âgée de 18 ans, est plongée dans un long coma. Impuissant face à la lenteur de la police à retrouver les coupables, Paul a soif de vengeance ; il souhaite s'acheter une arme dans une armurerie, mais change d'avis. Mais le jour où un homme gravement blessé arrive dans son bloc opératoire et laisse tomber un pistolet sur le sol, Paul s'en empare... et quelques heures plus tard, s'en sert pour empêcher un vol de voiture en tuant de sang froid les deux voleurs... In 1941, SS colonel Hans Landa, the "Jew Hunter", interrogates French dairy farmer Perrier LaPadite as to the whereabouts of the last unaccounted-for Jewish family in the neighborhood.
