It traces the pilgrimage of John Anderson (played by Colin Friels), an average guy with a passion for jazz, from his home in outback Western Australia to the jazz clubs of Paris, to meet his idol, jazz trumpeter Billy Cross (played by legendary trumpeter Miles Davis). In the film's opening sequence, Davis and his band unexpectedly land on a remote airstrip in the Australian outback and proceed to perform for the stunned locals. The performance was one of Davis's last on film.
Synopsis
John "Dingo" Anderson vit au fond du bush australien, loin de tout. Un jour, un jet privé transportant le trompettiste de jazz légendaire Billy Cross (Miles Davis), de même que ses musiciens, se pose au milieu du désert australien, entre deux concerts internationaux, pour réparer une avarie. Billy Cross improvise alors un petit concert au milieu du désert pour quelques spectateurs privilégiés qui se trouvent là par hasard. John Anderson tombe instantanément sous son charme, et se prend d'une passion pour le célèbre trompettiste et sa musique. Il aspire dès lors à jouer au moins une fois en duo de trompettes avec son idole, devant le public averti d'un club de Jazz parisien. Presque arrivé à l'âge de trente-trois ans, plusieurs années après avoir croisé pour la première fois le grand trompettiste, il se décide enfin à partir pour Paris, dans l'espoir de concrétiser son rêve. Pour ce faire, il devra toutefois tirer Billy Cross de sa quasi-retraite.Actors

Made in 1992, Un Coeur En Hiver was French writer/director Claude Sautet's first feature film in four years. Daniel Auteuil plays lonely violin restorer Stephane, who is commissioned to produce an instrument for concert violinist Camille, who is the girlfriend of his married partner Maxime. Camille falls in love with Stephane, and leaves Maxime for him, only to find that he does not seem to return her feelings. The two men fight over her, but Camille eventually regains her composure.

Upon returning home from work on his birthday, Steve—a middle class husband and father of two—finds the house dark and his family not home. He notices a chair, his television set, and a video tape obviously set out for his viewing. He turns the TV and VCR on, and begins to watch a tape made for him by his wife, Alexandra. The first clip shows his wife and children wishing him a happy birthday, but after the kids leave the room, Alexandra begins a striptease, and it appears to be nothing more than a birthday gift. As it progresses, however, it becomes clear that the tape is designed to humiliate and torture Steve for marital problems that Alexandra has been stewing about for years. While listening to his wife's complaints, he confirms his insensitivity by responding to the TV, "There's nothing here that a little Prozac wouldn't fix." As part of her show, Alexandra feigns breast cancer, has sex with their neighbor, and tells Steve that neither she nor their two children are ever coming home.

Lisbon Story is partially a sequel to Wenders' 1982 film, The State of Things. The fictitious movie director in the previous film, Friedrich Munro, reappears, again played by Patrick Bauchau. In Lisbon Story Friedrich has moved to Lisbon, Portugal (the country where The State of Things was set). The principal character, Philip Winter (Rüdiger Vogler), a sound engineer, receives a postcard invitation from Friedrich to come to Lisbon to record sounds of the capital city for his forthcoming film. On arriving, the director is nowhere to be found, though he leaves cryptic messages. This sets in motion a mysterious quest.

When Ludwig van Beethoven dies, his assistant and close friend Schindler deals with his last will and testament. There remains a question as to who Beethoven's "immortal beloved", an unnamed woman mentioned in one of his letters, may be. Schindler embarks on a quest to find out who this woman is. Retrospective footage of Beethoven from his younger years until his death is featured as the film progresses. The conclusion ultimately is that the individual is Johanna Reiss, the daughter of Anton Van Reiss, a prosperous Viennese upholsterer. In the film, she becomes pregnant by Beethoven; when by an accidental turn of events he does not marry her in time, she marries his brother, Kaspar. Their son, Karl van Beethoven, is raised by Ludwig in the vain hope of making him an important musician in his own right.

In the Pride Lands of Africa, a lion rules over the animals as king. The birth of King Mufasa and Queen Sarabi's son Simba creates envy and resentment in Mufasa's younger brother, Scar, who knows his nephew now replaces him as heir to the throne. After Simba has grown into a young cub, Mufasa gives him a tour of the Pride Lands, teaching him the responsibilities of being a king and the circle of life. Later that day, Scar tricks Simba and his best friend Nala into exploring a forbidden elephant graveyard, despite the protests of Mufasa's hornbill majordomo Zazu. At the graveyard, three spotted hyenas named Shenzi, Banzai and Ed attack the cubs before Mufasa, alerted by Zazu, rescues them and forgives Simba for his actions. The film tells the modern love story set over a period of 12 months in London, England, of a young couple: Matt, a British climatologist, and Lisa, an American exchange student. The story is framed in a personal review from Matt's perspective when he is working in Antarctica. Their main common interest is a passion for live music and they frequently attend rock concerts together. The film depicts the couple, or Matt alone, watching nine songs at Brixton Academy and other concert venues. It also shows their weekend getaway into the countryside, and their travels around London.
