Synopsis
Le pétrolier L'Azay-le-Rideau a perdu sa cargaison évaluée à six millions de dollars en arrivant au port de Bruges. Remplacé par de l'eau salée, le pétrole a mystérieusement disparu. En fait, il a été volé par l'équipe du trafiquan Max Orwall. Son complice qui atterrit à l'aéroport réclamant une somme de 500 000 dollars pour la prochaine affaire à Max, ce dernier le fait abattre par un tueur à gages. Mais avant de mourir, l'homme murmure quelque chose à un témoin, le Docteur Justice. Orwall tente de capturer Justice pour connaître ce qu'il sait sur son trafic. Malgré lui, Justice sera confronté à un complot de plus grande ampleur visant à l'anéantissement de la race humaine. De Bruges en passant par Carthagène, notre héros aura pour compagne la charmante Karine pour contrer les trafiquants ainsi qu'un savant fou.Actors

The film is set in France during the Seven Years' War. As the film begins, Fanfan (Gérard Philipe) is a charming, attractive young man who is trying to escape a shotgun marriage. At this vulnerable point in his life, he is approached by the daughter of a recruiting officer, Adeline (played by Gina Lollobrigida), who tells him that if he joins the army, he will find fame, fortune, and will marry the king's daughter. Accordingly he joins the army, only to discover that she made the whole thing up in order for her father to get a recruiting bonus. Nevertheless, encouraged by a series of improbable circumstances, he accepts her prediction as his destiny. A series of events ensues which shows off to great advantage his athleticism and leadership ability. As the film progresses, we become aware of a developing attraction between himself and Adeline which however conflicts with his perceived “destiny” of marrying a king's daughter.

Gina est l'infirmière dévouée de Paul Dupré, riche industriel soigné pour des problèmes cardiaques. Dupré meurt brutalement lors d'une injection faite par Gina et, aussitôt, son épouse Catherine accuse Gina avec l'aide du célèbre avocat Charles Cassidi qui est aussi son amant depuis peu. Gina se trouve défendue par un avocat débutant, Me Philliet. L'enquête est menée par le juge d'instruction Albert Gaudet. Très vite Gaudet trouve que trop de coïncidences ou d'incohérences accablent Gina, que la connivence et la liaison avérée entre Catherine Dupré et Cassidi sont troublantes, d'autant que Cassidi a écrit X articles sur le crime parfait. Mais quand Gaudet croit avoir trouvé le témoin nécessaire pour confondre Catherine Dupré, celui-ci perd ses moyens face à Cassidi qui sait pourtant que Catherine Dupré est coupable.

In the village of Assola, divided in half by the French-Italian border, the smuggler living Neapolitan Giuseppe La Paglia (Toto) and the French customs officer Ferdinand Pastorelli (Fernandel). On the feast day of the town on the French side, Ferdinand Joseph stopped arriving late to the traditional parade that was to bring the French flag, and during the following reception of the hotel two borders, which is divided in half by the border, Joseph discovered that Ferdinand was born Italian mother and an unknown father in the kitchen of the restaurant which is located in the Italian part of the hotel, for which, though recorded at the French Ministry, the customs officer, is actually Italian and is not entitled to exercise the profession. A subsequent audit at the municipality of Assola, Ferdinand discovers that those who recorded the birth years before, Gaspar Donnadiè, owner of the two borders, failed to register there, while it was the Italian municipality. The same Donaddiè tells Ferdinand that he went to the town hall French because it was raining that day and it was closer than the Italian one.

In Bougival Junction, New Mexico in 1880 the Francophone town is led by Marie Sarrazin.
