Dog Jack is a 2010 film based on the book of the same name by Florence W. Biros. The story is based on the true story of the mascot of the 102nd Pennsylvania Regiment
The story revolves around an escaped slave boy named Jed (Benjamin Gardner) who joins the Union Army during the American Civil War. He is accompanied by his dog Jack (the namesake of the story) who becomes the mascot of the regiment during the war.
The film was shot mostly in and around the borough of Darlington, Pennsylvania just outside the city of Pittsburgh. Other locations included North Freedom, Wisconsin, Mt. Pleasant, Iowa, and the suburbs of Chicago, Illinois.
It was an official selection in the St. Louis International Film Festival, Black Harvest Film Festival, San Francisco Black Film Festival, and the International Family Film Festival. It won Best Drama at the San Diego Black Film Festival.
It premiered at Pittsburgh's Soldiers and Sailors National Military Museum and Memorial, which was one of the shooting locations of the film. Dog Jack had a limited theatrical release before releasing nationwide on DVD January 31, 2012 by Screen Media Films, available at Redbox, Family Video, Walmart, Target, Amazon.com, Barnes & Noble, among others.

In the late 21st century, an interstellar war between humans (associated as the Bilateral Terran Alliance, or BTA) and Dracs (a Hermaphroditic humanoid race) is fought. Battles are periodically fought between fighter spacecraft, and no human pilot hates the Dracs more than Willis E. Davidge (Dennis Quaid). During one such battle, Davidge and Drac pilot Jeriba Shigan (Louis Gossett, Jr.) engage in a dogfight which results in both crash-landing on Fyrine IV, an alien world uninhabited by intelligent life, with two moons, a breathable atmosphere, water, native fauna, and a hostile environment.

While on a routine patrol on United States airspace west of Alaska, pilots Doug "Thumper" Masters and Matt "Cobra" Cooper test the g-forces of their F-16C planes. Their antics get them carried away, as they stray over Soviet airspace. As they are being escorted back into U.S. airspace, one of the Soviet planes has Doug on missile-lock. This leads to a brief dogfight. In the ensuing battle, Matt loses control of his plane and is too late to save Doug, who is shot down by the Soviets. The next day, the U.S. Secretary of Defense publicly denies the incident, claiming a training accident caused by a fuel system malfunction killed Doug. This later revealed in Iron Eagle on the Attack that Doug actually survived by ejecting before his aircraft exploded and became a POW for a few years until released on goodwill.

Morgan Leafy is a British diplomat and works in the small African state of Kinjanja, in the process of decolonisation. In February 1945, the demoralized Imperial Japanese Army on Leyte is in desperate straits, cut off from support and supplies by the Allies, who are in the process of liberating the Philippine island. Private Tamura has tuberculosis and is seen as a useless burden to his company, even though it has been reduced to little more than a platoon in strength. In pre-revolutionary Cuba, James Wormold (Alec Guinness), a vacuum cleaner salesman, is recruited by Hawthorne (Noël Coward) of the British Secret Intelligence Service to be their Havana operative. Instead of recruiting his own agents, Wormold invents agents from men he knows only by sight, and sketches "plans" for a rocket-launching pad based on vacuum parts to increase his value to the service and to procure more money for himself and his expensive daughter Milly (Jo Morrow). Because his importance grows, he is sent a secretary, Beatrice (Maureen O'Hara), and a radioman from London to be under his command. With their arrival it becomes much harder for Wormold to maintain his facade. However, all of his invented information begins to come true: his cables home are intercepted and believed to be true by enemy agents who then act against his "cell". One of his "agents" is killed, and he is himself targeted for assassination. He admits what he's done to his secretary, and is recalled to London. At the film's conclusion, rather than telling the truth to the prime minister and other military intelligence services, Wormold's commanders (led by Ralph Richardson) agree to fabricate a story claiming his imagined machines had been dismantled, bestow honors on Wormold, and offer him a position teaching espionage classes in London.

Derwin (William Hellfire) and Derick (Joey Smack) are trench-coat wearing neo-Nazis from deprived families. When Derwin is assaulted by jocks, he and Derick form a plan to kill students at their school and then commit suicide. The pair buy two shotguns and several handguns from a black market dealer. The next day they open fire in the cafeteria, killing several people, before going to the basement, where they simultaneously kill each other. An American bomber is shot down on the Norwegian coast during World War II. The airmen bail out and land at different locations. In spite of the German search for them, the Norwegian resistance picks them up and hides them in the attic of the local church, a center of operations. Things become tense, however, when the hideout is spotted by a notorious collaborator, and soon the protagonist, Hans (Henki Kolstad), has to get the airmen to Sweden.
