Il s'agit d'un film produit par Nocturnes Productions, en coproduction avec Neon Productions, Entre2prises, Les Melvilliens, avec la participation de France 2 et le soutien de la Région Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur. Le film a obtenu le Label scénario de la Maison du film ainsi que le prix de l'association Beaumarchais-SACD. Les musiques ont été composées et enregistrées avec le soutien de la SACEM en association avec l'association ALCIME.
Synopsis
L'été, dans les Alpes. Lise, 15 ans, vient de retrouver son demi-frère Simon, 18 ans, revenu s'installer dans la région avec sa mère. Rapidement, il s'intègre dans la bande qu'elle forme avec son petit ami Kevin et leurs copains. Un jour, Lise l'emmène à Dramonasc, le hameau abandonné de leurs aïeux.Comments

Jean-Pierre Melville, born Jean-Pierre Grumbach, was of Alsatian Jewish descent. Having to flee Nazi-occupied France during World War II, he joined the French Resistance and took the pseudonym Melville, in tribute to American novelist Herman Melville. He subsequently retained his war name as his stage name, once the war was over. This personal experience of the war and in particular of resistance fighting impacted Melville's formative year and has an influence which can be seen in his films.

The film focuses on the courtship and marriage of aging Greek Theo Tomasis, who rose from his humble peasant roots to become an influential mogul who owns oil tankers, airlines, and Mediterranean islands and longs to be elected President of Greece, and considerably younger Liz Cassidy, the beautiful widow of the assassinated President of the United States. The two first meet when she is visiting his island estate with her husband James, the charismatic Senator from the state of Massachusetts. Aging, respected commander Paul Blanchard (Heston) is on his final submarine tour before promotion to command of a submarine squadron (COMSUBRON). Vikas Chandra (Vinod Mehra) and Aarti (Rekha) have recently married, and they move into their new apartment. One day they go out to watch a late night Hindi movie at a local cinema theatre. The movie gets over well after midnight, and as no cab is found this hour, they decide to walk home by foot. On the way, they are suddenly waylaid by four men, who assault Vikas, leaving him unconscious, and forcibly take Aarti with them. When Vikas regains his senses he finds himself in hospital with a head wound. He is informed that Aarti is in the same hospital, after being gang-raped and assaulted. This incident makes headlines in the media, and is also a subject of discussion by politicians during their election campaign. Vikas feels haunted by this incident, and does not know how to act further. Aarti, on the other hand, has been completely traumatised, and is unable to trust any male. Now the couple faces a serious crisis leading to a loveless relationship, and only a miracle can bring the old spark back into their married life.
