Les Voyageurs de l'infini (titre original anglais : Earth Star Voyager) est un film de science-fiction créé pour la télévision et diffusé sur Wonderful World of Disney en 1988. Ce film était un épisode pilote en deux parties, mais la série n'a jamais été poursuivie et le film ne fut pas distribué en DVD, bien que la communauté de fans se soit agrandie au fil des années.

Synopsis

En 2082, le vaisseau d'exploration, Vanguard Explorer, a subi de graves dommages causés par les efforts de Capitaine Jacob Brown pour essayer de garder son vaisseau hors des mains d'insurgés menés par son second, Vance Arthur. Feintant sa reddition, Jake attaque Vance et le met à terre assez longtemps pour pouvoir atteindre une capsule de sauvetage et se projeter dans l'espace. Mais la cause des dommages à bord du Vanguard Explorer est inconnue.

His arrival into town is clouded by unrest at a factory where workers are seeking to unionize. Local authorities wrongly suspect John to be an outside agitator for the union cause. American expatriates journalist Jake Barnes (Hart Bochner), war veteran Bill Gorton (Željko Ivanek), and novelist/boxer Robert Cohn (Robert Carradine), take advantage of the Paris night life. A psychopathic bomber (Timothy Bottoms, credited only as "Young Man" and never referred to by any name in the film) sneaks into Ocean View Amusement Park and places a small radio-controlled bomb on the tracks of the park's wooden roller coaster, The Rocket. The bomb detonates, the ride derails, and several riders are killed. Ride inspector Harry Calder (George Segal) is called to the park to investigate what initially appears to have been an accident.
