The movie 'Three Men in a Boat' is set in the Edwardian era, Harris, Jerome, and George about-town want to get away from it all and decide to take a holiday boating up the River Thames to Oxford, taking with them their dog Montmorency. George is happy to get away from his job at the bank. Harris is glad to get away from Mrs. Willis who is pressing him to marry her daughter Clara; and 'J' is more than anxious to take a holiday from his wife, Etherbertha. George meets three girls, Sophie Clutterhouse and sisters Bluebell and Primrose Porterhouse, who are also taking a ride up the river, and he hopes to see them again. The travellers get into all kinds of complications with the weather, the river, the boat, food, Hampton Court maze, tents, rain, locks. They do connect with the girls again and when things appear to be becoming interesting for the men, Mrs. Willis and her daughter and Ethelbertha show up and things become even more interesting.

Carlos (Luis Omar O'Farrill) is an aspiring surfer, whose father, Alberto (Carlos Esteban Fonseca), disapproves of his passion. They both visit Alberto's father, Rafael (Jacobo Morales), at the Catholic retirement home he lives in. Carlos is left with his grandfather and his friends Pablo (Diego de la Texera) and Anselmo (Adrián García), whom Pablo nicknames "Elmo". Alberto later picks up Carlos, he tells Rafael he and Carlos are moving to Orlando for his job, leaving Rafael without words. After leaving the retirement home and realizing what little time he has before he moves, Carlos calls Rafael later that night to invite him and his elder friends to a road trip to Loíza for a surfing competition and for Rafael to show him the family land. Early the next morning, the elders manage to sneak out of the retirement home through the kitchen and head out to Loíza with Carlos driving his father's car. After realizing their absence, the Madre Superiora of the retirement home (Marian Pabón) recurs to the help of Noberto (Luis Raúl), the home's security guard, to retrieve the elders and bring them back.

The film begins at Flemner Air Base 20 years prior. A pilot named Leland "Buzz" Harley (Bill Irwin) loses control of his plane and ejects, leaving his co-pilot Dominic "Mailman" Farnum (Ryan Stiles) to crash alone; although Mailman survives, he's mistaken for a deer owing to the branches stuck to his helmet and is shot by a hunter. Peter Banning is a successful corporate lawyer who spends more time at work than with his wife Moira and children Jack and Maggie. The Bannings fly to London to visit Moira's grandmother, an older Wendy Darling, to celebrate her charity work for orphans, which once included Peter. During the visit, Peter is distracted by phone calls from his office and on one occasion, shouts at his children when they interrupt him, leading Moira to throw his cellphone out of an open window. Later, while Peter, Moira, and Wendy attend a banquet ceremony hosted by Great Ormond Street Hospital, a strange presence abducts Jack and Maggie. Tootles, another of Wendy's orphans who lives at her house, informs Peter that Captain Hook took the children to Neverland. Peter dismisses Tootles' warning and calls the police instead. With no sign of the children anywhere, Wendy informs Peter that he is actually Peter Pan and that he lost his memories of Neverland when he decided to stay in London with Wendy many years ago. Once again, Peter dismisses these claims and waits for the police to find his children.
