Elvis & Nixon is an upcoming American comedy-drama film directed by Liza Johnson and written by Joey Sagal, Hanala Sagal and Cary Elwes. The film stars Kevin Spacey as President Richard Nixon, and Michael Shannon as singer Elvis Presley, and focuses on the December 21, 1970, meeting between the two men at the White House. The supporting cast includes Alex Pettyfer, Colin Hanks, Evan Peters, Johnny Knoxville, Sky Ferreira and Tracy Letts.
The film will be released in 2016 by Amazon and Bleecker Street.
Synopsis
On the morning of December 21, 1970, actor-singer Elvis Presley shows up to the White House and requests for an urgent meeting with President Richard Nixon, to swear him in as an undercover agent in the Bureau of Narcotics and Dangerous Drugs.Actors

Kelli, returning from her military tour of duty in the Middle East, has high hopes for resuming her old life in her midwestern hometown. Shaun Brumder (Colin Hanks) is a teenager from affluent Orange County, California. Berke Landers (Ben Foster) and his girlfriend Allison (Melissa Sagemiller) were the quintessential high-school couple who grew up together and eventually fell in love, but she breaks up with him immediately after the film begins. This leads to an opening musical number of "Love Will Keep Us Together" by Vitamin C, imagined by Berke. He seeks advice from his embarrassing parents Frank (Ed Begley Jr.) and Beverly Landers (Swoosie Kurtz), who are hosts of a relationship advice show called Love Matters, but they don't help with the situation and constantly focus on his sex life and sexuality throughout the film. Allison then starts a relationship with Striker (Shane West), a 'foreign' student who was once the lead singer of a boy band called "The Swingtown Lads". When Allison and Striker audition for the school's upcoming musical, Berke desperately tries to win Allison back by also auditioning for the play, despite having no theatrical talent and having a busy schedule as a member of the basketball team. Meanwhile, Berke's friends Felix (Colin Hanks) and Dennis (Sisqó) try to find a new girlfriend for him.

In a short prelude, U.S. Army General Hopgood (Stephen Lang) is painfully thwarted in an attempt to pass paranormally through a solid wall by simply running into it.
