Synopsis
Sam Simms (Sinbad) is a Secret Service agent assigned by his superior Wilkes (Robert Guillaume) to protect President Paul Davenport's (James Naughton) rebellious 13-year-old son Luke Davenport (Brock Pierce) after Luke's behavior causes another agent Woods (Timothy Busfield) to be replaced for mistreating Luke in front of media cameras. Woods is later fired for failing his physical. Simms sees this assignment as undesirable, but a possible stepping stone to protecting the President. He fails to connect with the boy at first, and Luke continues to misbehave, including an incident where he releases his pet snake Poison into a White House party. After seeing Luke get beat up by the school bully Rob (Zachery Ty Bryan), Simms feels sorry for him - he had felt alone as a teenager, too (losing his father in Vietnam) - and they become friends. Simms, a former boxing champion, agrees to sneak Luke out against the wishes of the chief of security Morton (Art LaFleur) and teach him how to fight.Actors

In the San Fernando Valley during the summer of the early 1960s, protagonist Scotty Smalls moves into a new town with his mother and stepfather, and joins a local baseball team under captain Benjamin "the Jet" Rodriguez. With Benjamin's help, Scotty becomes a proficient player; but everybody learns that more than 150 of the team's numerous baseballs have ended up in the backyard fence of the sandlot, which is protected by an English Mastiff, a legendary ball-eating dog known as "The Beast," who belongs to his neighbor, Mr. Mertle. One day, the team's last ball lands in "The Beast's" possession, and Scotty substitutes one from his stepfather's collection, which is earlier signed by Babe Ruth. When this, too, is lost, the team construct a series of machines (each of them more complex than the last) to recover it remotely; but every time they ultimately fail. Inspired by a dream of Ruth (whom he admires), Benjamin is the first to seize the ball himself, while the others trap "The Beast;" whereupon Benjamin and Scotty return the latter to his owner, Mr. Mertle, who reveals that he himself knew Ruth, and later becomes the team's coach. Over the next three decades, Benjamin becomes a famous MLB player, and Scotty becomes a sports announcer.

The start of the movie flashes back to 1962 when Benny becomes Benny "the Jet" Rodriguez. The main part of the movie is set in 1972, ten years after the events of The Sandlot. New kids have moved into the neighborhood of San Fernando Valley in Los Angeles. They have started playing baseball in the sandlot. The previous kids have all grown up and moved away. A young boy named Johnnie Smalls, the little brother of Scott Smalls (the first film's protagonist), has heard the legend of "The Great Fear," (a beastly mutated dog, as he puts it when he later on tells the group about the beast) owned by Mr. Mertle, who lives behind the Sandlot. David Durango (Max-Lloyd Jones) is the leader of the boys. Behind the Sandlot; next to Mr. Mertle's home lives the Goodfairer family. Hayley Goodfairer (Samantha Burton), the daughter and her two friends befriend the other boys at first in a census to share the Sandlot, but their relationship burgeons potently into a friendship when they find themselves in a big problem with the beast next door, despite Hayley calling David a little baby, and David calling Hayley a spoiled brat.

In late 1969, Billy Covington (Robert Downey Jr.) works as a helicopter traffic pilot for a Los Angeles radio station, but after breaking several safety regulations on the job, the U.S. Federal Aviation Administration suspends his pilot's license. Best friends and nerds Lewis Skolnick and Gilbert Lowe enroll in Adams College to study computer science. They are kicked out of the freshmen dorms by the Alpha Betas, a fraternity composed primarily of football team members, after the Alpha's carelessly burn down their frat house. Dean Ulich sets up the freshmen in temporary quarters in the school's gymnasium, but allows them to rush the fraternities to alleviate their housing situation. Lewis, Gilbert, and other nerds fail to gain fraternity membership, but are able to rent and completely renovate a rundown two-story campus house.

Six-year-old Ben Archer watches silently as his father starts up his car and drives away with his secretary, and they both offer only a wave out the window in parting. His mother, Sandy (Fawcett), can only watch heartbroken from the window of their house as her ex-husband leaves them. Ben’s father promised to visit him, yet never comes back. They are both upset, but they decide to have a fresh start, so they move into a loft apartment in downtown Seattle to begin a new life with just the two of them. Sandy makes creative efforts to turn it into a home for them. They gradually overcome his father leaving and foster a very close bond with important rituals and routines, including making a collage with beach debris. Sandy develops an interest in dating, but her suitors never fit well and don’t last long, which allows Ben’s ideal relationship with his mother to resume. Howard Langston (Arnold Schwarzenegger) is a workaholic mattress salesman, who does not find time for his wife, Liz (Rita Wilson), and his 9-year-old son, Jamie (Jake Lloyd) — especially when compared to next door "superdad" divorcee, Ted Maltin (Phil Hartman), who continually puts Howard in a bad light. After missing Jamie's karate class graduation, Howard resolves to redeem himself by fulfilling Jamie's ultimate Christmas wish: getting an action figure of Turbo-Man, a popular children's TV superhero toy that everyone is looking for. After several failed attempts to find the toy in a store, Howard attempts to buy a Turbo-Man from a Mall of America Santa (James Belushi) who is actually the leader of a band of counterfeit toy makers. When he accuses the Santa of undermining the values of Christmas, Howard ends up in a brawl with the gang. On the first day of summer, dim-witted but kind-hearted Ed has a nightmare about talking hamburgers. Troubled by it, he shows up late to work at Good Burger. On the same morning, Dexter, a high school student, steals his mother's car after she leaves for a business trip. He accidentally crashes into his teacher Mr. Wheat's car. With no driver's license or insurance, Dexter is liable to go to jail. Wheat agrees that he will not call the police if Dexter pays $1,900 to cover the damage. In need of money, Dexter gets a job at Mondo Burger, but after a clash with the strict manager, Kurt Bozwell, he is fired. Dexter then finds work at Good Burger, where he meets and reluctantly befriends Ed and a slew of colorful employees.
