Steven "Steve" Oedekerk (born November 27, 1961) is an American comedian, director, editor, producer, screenwriter and actor. Oedekerk is best known for his collaborations with actor Jim Carrey and director Tom Shadyac (particularly the Ace Ventura franchise), his series of "Thumbmation" shorts and his film Kung Pow: Enter the Fist (2002).

Otis is a carefree cow who prefers to goof off rather than accept responsibility. His adoptive father Ben is the leader of the barnyard when the farmer is away. After Otis interrupts a barnyard meeting with his wild antics, Ben has a talk with his son, warning him that he'll never be happy if he just goofs off, and that he should grow up. The movie focuses on a character simply named The Chosen One, who is wandering from town to town searching for the man who, under orders from the mysterious Evil Council, killed his family on the night he was born. His talents for the martial arts were already honed at his infancy, and only vastly improved over time, giving him capability for legendary fighting abilities. He soon drifts into another town, and consults Master Tang, a very ill and slightly deranged sifu, for further training. The master is skeptical at first, but when The Chosen One shows him his identifying mark (his tongue has a living face on it named Tonguey), Master Tang agrees to allow him to train at his dojo. He also introduces him to his two students: Wimp Lo, a young man with squeaky shoes who was trained wrong as a joke, and Ling, who Master Tang bluntly states will have feelings towards The Chosen One.

Advertising executive Nick Beam (Tim Robbins) thinks his life is going very well—until he returns home from work and discovers that his wife Ann (Kelly Preston) is apparently having an affair with his boss, Philip Barlow (Michael McKean).
