So Far is a music documentary video by the Grateful Dead. Directed by Jerry Garcia and Len Dell'Amico, it is intended to give a subjective view of the Grateful Dead experience. The soundtrack includes Dead song performances, largely from 1985. The visuals combine scenes of the band playing the songs, other Dead related material, computer animation, and found footage that has been altered and edited in various ways.

So Far was released on VHS and laserdisc in 1987, and on DVD in 2012 in the All the Years Combine compilation box set. It has a running time of 55 minutes.

Metallica is forced to examine their nature and their very existence as bassist Jason Newsted quits the band and frontman James Hetfield abruptly leaves the group to enter a rehabilitation facility due to alcohol abuse. Metallica's management Q-Prime hires "performance-enhancing coach" Phil Towle to help the group better understand one another as friends, bandmates, and human beings. When the members of Metallica eventually decide that Towle's services are no longer required, Towle attempts to convince them that they still need him, saying "We've still got some trust issues that I think we need to sort out.".

U2 3D depicts a U2 concert in Buenos Aires during the band's Vertigo Tour. In the beginning of the film, a voice is heard chanting "everyone" in a crowd-filled stadium, followed by fans running through the venue. U2 begin the concert with "Vertigo", followed by ten more songs in the main set. Images are shown throughout the concert on the stage's LED display. Political and social statements are made during some songs, including "Sunday Bloody Sunday"—during which the word "coexista" is spelled out on-screen through various religious symbols—and "Miss Sarajevo", during which an excerpt from the Universal Declaration of Human Rights is read aloud by a narrator. The main set ends with "One", after which the group leave the stage. They return for an encore and perform "The Fly", during which a succession of words and phrases appear on the stage's LED display and are superimposed into the film. U2 end the show with "With or Without You" and leave the stage for the final time. As the closing credits begin, a live performance of "Yahweh" is heard as animations from the stage's LED display are shown. U2 reappear on stage in a post-credits scene performing the end of the song.

Le portrait croisé, filmé sur sept ans, de deux groupes de pop psychédélique aux destins divergents : The Dandy Warhols et The Brian Jonestown Massacre. Proches au début, les deux groupes deviennent peu à peu rivaux, les premiers obtiennent le succès et les seconds passent leur temps à saboter leur carrière. En revanche, si c'est le leader des Dandy Warhols qui se prête au jeu, comme narrateur en voix off, c'est plutôt le groupe d'Anton Newcombe, leader charismatique et cyclothymique du B.J.M, qui est valorisé dans le film, à la fois pour son incroyable productivité (en 1996 le groupe sort trois albums autoproduits) et pour ses frasques à répétition - violentes bagarres sur scènes, conflits d'ego à répétition, problèmes de drogue...
