With their municipality scheduled to be flooded to make way for the construction of a new dam, the devout denizens of a rural village have placed their faith in Choi Gyeong-seok, a church elder who promises to relocate the flock. Choi tells the villagers they will build a church and a new housing development where they will all be able to live together after the town is completely submerged. He also says that only 144,000 people can go to heaven, and that church offerings are mandatory if one wants to "secure their spot." Even the town's much-revered Reverend Sung, a young and good-looking minister who seemingly has the ability to heal the sick, approves of Choi's plans. Behind his guise of devotion, however, Choi is a practiced con man posing as a representative of a fake religion; his true aim is to defraud the villagers of their resettlement compensation. The only obstacle to the scheme is Kim Min-chul, a skeptical outcast who accidentally discovers evidence of Choi's past misdeeds and suddenly finds himself becoming the center of resistance against the church institution.

Crysta is a fairy with a curious nature living in FernGully, a pristine rainforest free from humans. The fairies of FernGully once lived in harmony with humans, but believe them to have gone extinct after being driven away by a malevolent spirit named Hexxus. Crysta is the apprentice of Magi, a motherly-figure fairy who imprisoned Hexxus in a tree. One day Crysta explores a new part of the forest and meets Batty, a bat who claims to have been experimented on by humans, giving him an unstable personality. She refuses to believe him until she encounters lumberjacks cutting down trees. She sees Zak, a young human whom Crysta accidentally shrinks when she tries to save him from being crushed by a falling tree, though does not know how to restore him to normal size.

Similar events are shown to be occurring with other children as the short progresses. The story is a considered response to the French film director Albert Lamorisse's 1956 featurette Le ballon rouge.

When farmer John Arable decides to "do away with" the runt of a litter of pig, his daughter Fern intervenes, telling him that it is absurd to kill it just because it is smaller than the others. John decides to spares the piglet and let Fern raise it as a pet. Fern nurtures it lovingly, naming it Wilbur. Six weeks later, Wilbur, due to being a spring pig, has matured, and John tells Fern that Wilbur has to be sold (his siblings were already sold). Fern sadly says good-bye as Wilbur is sold down the street to her uncle, Homer Zuckerman. At the farm, a goose coaxes a sullen Wilbur to speak his first words. Although delighted at this new ability, Wilbur still yearns for companionship. He attempts to get the goose to play with him, but she declines on the condition that she has to hatch her goslings. Wilbur also tries asking a rat named Templeton to play with him, but Templeton's only interests are spying, hiding, and eating. Wilbur then wants to play with a lamb, but the lamb's father says sheep do not play with pigs because it is only a matter of time before they are turned into smoked bacon and ham. Horrified at this depressing discovery, Wilbur reduces himself to tears until a mysterious voice tells him to "chin up", and wait until morning to reveal herself to him. The following morning, the voice reveals herself to be an araneus cavaticus named Charlotte living on a web overlooking Wilbur's enclosure. Charlotte tells Wilbur that she will come with a plan guaranteed to spare his life.

L'histoire commence au Japon en 1814, pendant la période Edo. Edo est la ville actuellement appelée Tokyo. O-Ei est l'une des quatre filles du peintre Tetsuzo, qui se fait ensuite connaître sous le nom de Katsushika Hokusai. Le film se déroule au moment où O-Ei accède à l'âge adulte tandis que son père, âgé d'une grande cinquantaine d'années, est déjà un artiste reconnu dans son pays. Dans son atelier où règne un désordre monstrueux, Tetsuzo passe son temps à créer de somptueuses œuvres d'art. Il est capable de dessiner un ogre sur une surface de 120 tatamis comme de peindre deux moineaux sur un grain de riz, de dessiner des hommes influents, des dragons ou des scènes érotiques. C'est un homme à l'humeur changeante, sarcastique, qui n'est pas mû par la soif de l'argent. O-Ei tient de son père son talent et son obstination. Elle peint très souvent à sa place, sans signer son travail, afin de boucler les commandes ; elle n'obtient donc aucune reconnaissance pour son talent.
