Synopsis
Guru (Madhavan) wants to start a company of his own. He works for his boss Krishna (Abbas), who is a successful entrepreneur leading a happy married life. But the major problem for Krishna is his playboy nature. Guru hopes that his boss will help him set up a company so that he can also become a boss and make money. The movie opens in an engineering college in Ooty with a narration of the characters. Rajiv Samuel (Abbas) is a computer engineering student and is one of the top students in the college, whereas Rajesh (R. Madhavan) is a mechanical engineering student who is the bad guy of the college. A mutual problem between the two groups led by both Samuel and Rajesh puts both Sam and Rajesh at loggerheads and they pull pranks on each other to get the other in trouble. It culminates into a fist fight but is soon broken up their friends. In the fight, Rajesh punches Sam in the face, which is against the rule, and Sam promises to return the favor in future. They graduate from the college soon and promise to not see each other ever again. Sam goes abroad for job, while Rajesh stays back in India saying that he does not want to leave his motherland.

Vetrivel aka Velu (Vijay) is a car racer who lives with his large family in Chennai. His father, Singamuthu (Manivannan), had gone to Kadapa in Andhra Pradesh to work at a colliery and never returned, prompting Velu and his family to think that he is dead. Velu comes to know that a Malaysia-based don named Koccha (Suman) owes his father a huge sum of money. Velu and his friend Pons (Vivek) travel to Malaysia as Kuruvi, the trade jargon for low-level contraband carriers. They come to Malaysia at a time when internal rivalry and problems are surfacing in Koccha's family. Koccha's younger sister Devi (Trisha Krishnan) has refused to marry Soori (Pawan), the brother of Konda Reddy (Ashish Vidyarthi), Koccha's Kadapa-based business associate, as per Koccha's wishes. Irritated and preoccupied, neither Koccha nor his henchmen want to devote any time or attention to resolve Velu's problem. Velu is ill-treated and thrown out of Koccha's place without any help rendered. Determined to return to India only after his father's issue is solved to his satisfaction, Velu conceals himself in Koccha's palace-like residence. He soon finds out about a large diamond owned by Koccha and steals it, feeling that it would pay off his father's debt, and returns to India with Pons. Devi also follows Velu to India, having fallen in love with him.

A mentally unstable pregnant woman runs inside a temple and closes the door. She gives birth to a boy at the feet of Lord Krishna’s idol and breathes her last. The doors of the temple are closed, as people believe that the birth of such a woman's child in 'garbhagudi' is a bad omen. The boy, named Arjun (Manchu Vishnu), grows up under the guardianship of his grandmother (Manorama). He goes to work as a bodyguard to Satya (Mamta Mohandas), the sister of landlord Pedababu (Nassar). Arjun and his grandmother live in the outhouse of Pedababu’s bungalow. Arjun is ill-treated by everyone. When an astrologer says that Satya’s first husband will be killed and she will live happily with her second husband, Pedababu plans to get Satya married to Arjun first. Then, he conspires to kill him and get Satya married to a rich man. However, Lord Krishna (Nagarjuna Akkineni) comes to Arjun's assistance. Arjun gains some powers from his companionship with the Lord and overcomes the evils that threaten his peace and family life. He also succeeds in reopening the doors of the temple. Arjun then dies by jumping off a tall building because of his faith in Lord Krishna who revives him a minute after his death. The film ends on a happy note.

Raja Chandra Pratap Varma AKA King (Nagarjuna Akkineni) hails from a royal family, having taken over the legacy and riches after the death of his father Raja Ravi Chandra Varma (Sobhan Babu). King has a younger brother Ajay (Deepak), mother (Geetha), maternal uncle (Dharmavarapu Subramanyam) and his late father's three sisters, who are married. Their husbands are (Jaya Prakash Reddy, Krishna Bhagawan, Sayaji Shinde). The uncles steal money, which is for the workers. They make it look as though the employee Chandu is responsible. King believes and fires Chandu. Suddenly, King knew that the uncles hid the money in their room. He kept quiet because of his other family. Before King leaves the airport, this mysterious guy is after King. A few days later, King and Swapna are discussing something next to a graveyard. Same mysterious Guy from airport tries to shoot King, but misses. King chases Shooter to the graveyard, but Shooter suddenly disappeared. Munna calls King's cellphone. King tells Munna that he's in a graveyard. Munna asks, "Are you Ok?" King says, "I'm ok." Unfortunately, Swapna shoots King from behind. King sees Swapna's face. King realizes that Swapna was working with Shooter. Swapna shoots King again. King's presumed dead. Munna tells Police that King went missing. At least 1 day later, when Police takes Munna to Hospital Morgue, a Dead Body looks like King. Munna lies to Police that None of the Corpses is King's body. 2 of the 3 evil uncles say that the 1st evil uncle's responsible for King's disappearance. 1st evil uncle escapes and it's assumed that he's responsible. The mother believes that King's safe.
