Hercule is a 1938 French comedy film directed by Alexander Esway and starring Fernandel, Gaby Morlay and Pierre Brasseur. The film's sets were designed by Pierre Schild. Jean Grémillon was the film's original director, but he left shortly after production had begun. A simple fisherman from Provence inherits a Parisian newspaper, but finds some of his new staff are dishonest.
Synopsis
Hercule, jeune pêcheur provençal, hérite d'un grand journal quotidien parisien : L'Incorruptible. Le publicitaire Vasco, qui se fait nommer rédacteur en chef, tente d'utiliser ce journal pour monter des escroqueries. Aidé par sa secrétaire, Hercule parvient à se débarrasser de Vasco puis nomme un jeune journaliste intègre au poste de rédacteur en chef avant de regagner sa Provence natale.Actors

M. Lobligeois, octogénaire têtue, part pour Clermont-Ferrand avec deux déménageurs afin de rapporter à Paris ses quelques meubles, malgré la folle inquiétude de son neveu Alfred Puc, percepteur de son état. Il faut dire qu'il fait de nombreux degrés en dessous de zéro et qu'au retour, la brave dame meurt de froid. Affolés, les déménageurs laissent le corps dans une armoire à glace, et regagnent Paris en avertissant le neveu. Mais entre-temps le camion a été volé, début de palpitantes aventures du monsieur à la recherche du corps de sa tante.

The Stooges work at Dimsal's Drug Store in Ithaca, New York, where they befriend Schuyler Davis (Quinn Redeker), the owner of the shop next door, who is attempting to build a time machine. With the boys' "help", the machine transports the boys, Schuyler and disaffected girlfriend Diane Quigley (Vicki Trickett) back in time to Ithaca in ancient Greece during the reign of the lecherous King Odius (George N. Neise). The King, after defeating and imprisoning Ulysses because the Stooges are believed to be gods, has a yearning for Diane. Realizing they have disrupted the proper course of history, Schuyler and the boys free Ulysses, after which Odius banishes them to the galleys, where Schuyler builds impressive muscles while constantly rowing.

Shermer, Illinois, is a fictitious suburb of Chicago. There, nerdy social outcasts Gary Wallace (Anthony Michael Hall) and Wyatt Donnelly (Ilan Mitchell-Smith) are publicly humiliated by Ian (Robert Downey, Jr.) and Max (Robert Rusler) after they are seen swooning over two girls who happen to be their girlfriends. Dejected and disappointed at their direction in life and wanting more, Gary convinces the uptight Wyatt that they need a boost of popularity in order to get their crushes, Hilly (Judie Aronson) and Deb (Suzanne Snyder), away from Ian and Max. Alone for the weekend with Wyatt's parents gone, Gary is inspired by the 1931 classic Frankenstein to create a virtual girl using Wyatt's computer; infusing her with everything they can conceive to make the perfect dream girl. After hooking electrodes to a doll and hacking into a government computer system for more power, a power surge creates Lisa, a beautiful and intelligent woman with seemingly endless powers. Promptly, she conjures up a Cadillac convertible to take the boys out to a bar, using her powers to manipulate people into believing Gary and Wyatt are of age. The boys come up with the name Lisa (Kelly Le Brock), based upon a failed romantic experience of Gary's that ended with Lisa kicking him in the testicles.

La déesse Artémis (Frédérique Barré) a faussé compagnie à l'Olympe et est devenue une jeune femme qui va à la fac à Caen en France. D'abord d'un caractère misanthrope et solitaire, car elle préfère la compagnie des animaux et des enfants à celle des adultes, Artémis voit son quotidien changer lorsqu'elle fait la connaissance de la nymphe Kalie Steaux (autrement dit Callisto, jouée par Noémie Rosset), qui lui propose de prendre une colocation avec elle. Très vite, les deux jeunes femmes se lient d'amitié et entreprennent toutes sortes d'activités et de voyages. Le tout est raconté par un narrateur omniscient (Hubert Viel) qui a parfois un peu de mal à suivre les événements.
