Ce film est surtout connu pour être le premier de la société de production A. Film A/S, cofondée en 1988, entre autres par Stefan Fjeldmark et le producteur Anders Mastrup.
Tiré du livre pour enfants de Flemming Quist Møller, publié en 1988, Jungle Jack a obtenu un grand succès dans son pays d'origine. Il est aussi le précurseur de l'arrivée du cinéma d'animation danois sur la scène internationale, suivi par des films comme Gloups ! je suis un poisson (2000) ou Astérix et les Vikings (2006), eux aussi produits par A. Film A/S. D'autre part, le film est le premier volet d'une trilogie sur le personnage de Jungle Jack : le second volet sort trois ans plus tard, en 1996, et il faut attendre 2007 avant de voir troisième volet, ce dernier étant réalisé en image de synthèse contrairement aux deux premiers de la franchise. Le personnage a également connu une adaptation en série télévisée en 2003, qui a servi de transition entre les second et troisième volets.
Le film est aussi l'occasion pour certains membres de l'équipe du film de se faire connaître. Stefan Fjeldmark réalise son premier long métrage avec Jungle Jack ; de même, la jeune chanteuse Kaya Brüel est découverte par le grand public à travers le rôle de Rita.
Jungle Jack est considéré comme un film culte du paysage cinématographique danois.
Synopsis
Jungle Jack (ou Hugo dans la version originale) est un petit animal rare habitant dans la jungle. Il passe ses journées à s'amuser avec ses amis, les singes Zick et Zack. Au même moment, l'actrice Isabella Scorpion (ou Isabella Dehavalot dans la version originale), lassée par les animaux classiques qu'elle possède, charge son producteur Conrad Cupmann de capturer cet animal rare. Jack est alors attrapé mais il parvient à s'échapper avant de se faire emporter par une cascade. Il trouve refuge sur un bananier avant d'être embarqué dans un sac qui le mène sur un navire bananier où se trouvent Isabella et Cupmann.Actors

L'histoire se déroule quelques heures ou quelques jours après les événements du premier film. Jack s'ennuie dans la jungle, Rita lui manque. The film follows the adventures of three children: a skateboarding mischief-maker named Fly, his sweet younger sister, Stella, and their cousin Chuck, a cautious, intelligent and overweight genetics prodigy. When their babysitter, Aunt Anna, falls asleep, the three children sneak off to go fishing only to stumble across the boathouse home of Professor MacKrill, an eccentric marine biologist. Reasoning that climate change could melt the polar icecaps within the next century, MacKrill has developed a potion that turns people into fish so they can survive the rising sea level and also an antidote to reverse the process. Unbeknownst to all, Stella drinks the potion, is transformed into a starfish and gets tossed out of the window into the sea. Since Stella's transformation was caught on camera, the tragedy is immediately discovered, so Fly, Chuck and Professor MacKrill head out onto the ocean in a desperate search. When a storm blows in, Fly recognizes the futility of their search, drinks the potion and jumps overboard, becoming a "Californian Flyfish". The boat capsizes and, because Chuck cannot swim, he's forced to drink the potion to survive, becoming a jellyfish. The Professor, the boat and all of its contents sinks beneath the waves.

A tribe of Vikings feel flustered because in every raid they find their target locations devoid of people. Cryptograf, an advisor to Viking chief Timandahaf, says that the enemies always disappear because "Fear gives them wings". Timandahaf excitedly concludes that they must find a "Champion of Fear", who can teach them to be great cowards so they can fly, making them invincible. The chief says he'll give anything to whoever can bring him this Champion of Fear. Cryptograf hatches a secret plan to seize power and tells the chief they'll find the Champion of Fear in Gaul.

It is the story of a boy named Benny who is bored in the apartment house where his parents don't have time to talk or play with him. Outdoors, Benny catches a tadpole which he takes home into the bathtub. Benny discovers the tadpole is an enchanted prince, who dives with Benny to the bottom of the bathtub and into a magical ocean world. In a forest lives a community of birds who live peacefully, including a pair of sparrows residing happily in a nest awaiting the hatching of their two eggs. A storm rolls in and a white dove warns the couple about Fagin, a sinister black vulture who kills every bird in his path. Fagin comes, and the male sparrow bravely attempts to protect his family by distracting the vulture and is pursued but is killed. The female shares her mate's fate, and the struggle caused the two eggs to fall out the nest with only one surviving and landing near a hole in the tree which is owned by Walter, an owl. Betty, a bluebird, comes and decides to adopt the egg. Days and hours later, the egg hatches and Betty names him Oliver. While Betty is away, Walter tells Oliver a story about Betty saving a dove named Olivia from a cat and adopting her. Betty introduces Olivia to Oliver, both of them quickly becoming friends. Betty goes away again, and Oliver and Olivia wander off and befriend two orphaned mice named Fredrick and Ingolf. They play but Ingolf, who dreams of flying like a bird, falls into a stream and is saved by the group. The Dove appears and warns them about Fagin, prompting them to run and hide. Oliver, who spots Fagin, becomes too scared to move, but Olivia saves him and hide in a can. Fagin corners the young bird and nearly kills them, but is chased away by a male orthonologist human and his dog. Betty finds them and scolds them for wandering off and while Betty and Olivia leave, Oliver learns to fly with the help of Olivia.

The film revolves around a young albino male Sperm whale named Samson who strongly believes the legendary tales of Moby Dick. The legends say that Moby Dick was a hero for all whales, and that he will someday return. He meets Sally, a young black-and-white female sperm whale who is orphaned after her pod is slaughtered by whalers. Samson's pod adopts Sally and she befriends Samson even though she does not believe in Moby Dick. Samson and Sally together survive certain dangers, such as killer whales, a massive oil slick, radiation poisoning, and whaling ships, which they refer to as "iron beasts." Eventually Samson and Sally fall in love with each other. Samson's mother is later killed by the whalers, greatly upsetting Samson. Samson decides to leave Sally and his pod to search for Moby Dick and convince him to try to save whales from whalers and the "iron beasts." After nearly dying several times, due to humans causing water pollution, Samson finds Moby Dick in the underwater ruins of Atlantis, only to find that Moby Dick is senile, and too old to even forage for himself. Disappointed, Samson leaves to try and find his pod. After days of searching, he gives up all hope of finding his pod, just before seeing them on the horizon. The film ends with a scene set decades later, with Samson and Sally as adult whales, caring for a single son, whom Samson saves from a killer whale.

Au milieu des années 1950, un ouvrier de la Compagnie de Construction et de Démolition Acme Inc. employé dans la démolition d'un bâtiment trouve une boîte à l'intérieur d'une pierre angulaire. Cette boîte contient un testament daté de 1892 et une grenouille. Celle-ci se met subitement à chanter et à danser devant les yeux ébahis de l'ouvrier. L'homme essaie d'exploiter les talents de l'animal mais il échoue à convaincre un imprésario que sa grenouille chante et danse vraiment, l'animal faisant bien son show devant l'ouvrier mais redevenant inerte à chaque fois face à l’imprésario. Après avoir déboursé toutes ses économies pour produire la grenouille dans un théâtre, il se retrouve dans la misère après l'échec de la représentation, le batracien restant délibérément muet face aux spectateurs. Interné en hôpital psychiatrique pour avoir tenté de convaincre un policier que ce n'est pas lui mais sa grenouille qui chante, il finit par se débarrasser de l'animal en le mettant dans une nouvelle pierre d'un immeuble en construction. En 2056, un ouvrier découvre à nouveau la grenouille, et l'histoire se répète.

Mowgli, a young orphan boy, is found in a basket in the deep jungles of India by Bagheera, a black panther who promptly takes him to a mother wolf who has just had cubs.
