This film was a big hit in 2002 and was a remake of the superhit Kannada movie Appu which was also directed by Puri Jagannadh starring Puneet Rajkumar and Rakshita. it was later remade in Tamil as Dum in 2003, starring Silambarasan, with Rakshitha reprising her role in all 3 movies. in 2008 it was remade in Bengali as Priya Amar Priya.
Synopsis
Chanti (Ravi Teja) is the son of a head constable (Kota Srinivasa Rao). Chanti is a guy with carefree attitude. He is beaten by a rival gang at night and was rescued by a beautiful girl Suchitra or Suchi (Rakshitha). She pays his hospital bills and donates her blood. She is gone from the hospital by the time Chanti became conscious. When Chanti's friends tell him who rescued him, he starts loving her immediately for her good-heartedness though he did not see her. Suchitra later turns out to be the daughter of the city police commissioner Vipra Narayana (Prakash Raj). The rest is how he won his Love.Actors

An auto driver, sees Mattu Bhai (Ashish Vidyarthi) murder a journalist. The auto driver manages to capture Mattu Bhai & his henchman, and hold them until the Police arrive. Afterwards, the auto driver returns home to his wife and son, Charan. Unfortunately, Mattu Bhai & his henchmen break into their house that night. The auto driver is killed and his wife is severely injured. Charan survives uninjured. Charan's mother is in a critical condition but he & his uncle don't have enough money to pay for her operation. The local mafia leader's son has committed murder and offers Charan a deal. In order to pay for his mother's surgery, Cherry has to go to prison the crime.

Chandu (Ravi Teja)'s entire life is about his mother, Lakshmi (Jayasudha), a college lecturer. They together live in Hyderabad. Viraiah's (Tanikella Bharani) younger son is stolen by Chidambaram (Makrand Deshpande), who abducts children and makes them beggars. He names him as Chotu (Prabhas) and makes him beg on streets to earn money for him. The police raid Chidambaram and Chotu helps the police to find him. The police reward Chotu for helping them. This makes Chotu realise that he can earn money by catching criminals for the police. From then on Chotu works for the police and catches hold of criminals whom the police are in search of and becomes as bounty hunter. He also is in touch with Chidambaram and communicates with him so that he can tell him who his parents are, but he never told him. While getting hold of a goon, Chotu comes across Sameera (Kangna Ranaut) who is a guitar teacher. Sameera is the sister of the goon who works for Johnny Bhai (Sonu Sood).

The film starts in Goa with the henchmen of Don Makrand Kamati (Vikramjeet Virk) kidnapping a girl at the beach and turning her into a slave for sale after injecting drugs into her. When police officer Madhusudhan (Devan) catches the slaves and drugs racket, Makarand and his henchman (Ajaz Khan) interfere him while speaking to the Media. They injure the honest Madhusudhan and turn him an immobile person. Thus their trade continues. The film then shifts to a time a year later where Varun (Nithiin) is shown roaming in the locales of Spain. Varun is a hippie kind of vagabond wandering all over the world. He lost his parents in his childhood when he was at America. Calling himself a free soul, he never believes in relationships and earns his living by working in part-time jobs he finds in Craigslist and rests at nights on the roads with some kitchen equipment to cook food. Now he is in Spain and there he comes across Hayathi (Adah Sharma), an Indian who arrived to Spain to meet her friend Priya (Kesha Khambati).
