Kabaddi (ಕಬಡ್ಡಿ) is a 2009 Kannada sports drama film directed by Narendra Babu. Produced by G K Ravi, K Raju, G Kishor Kumar, Anup Gowda, N Asha and D V Rajendra Prasad under the banner of Khandaya haagu Vistara and has music by Hamsalekha. The film stars Praveen and Priyanka in the lead roles, It features real life Kabaddi plays as important roles, while veteran actor Kishore played the role of a passionate sports coach. The directorial debut film, is a love story based around the sport of Kabaddi. Though it didn't perform well at the box office, critics named it one of the top Kannada films of 2009.
At 2009 Karnataka State Film Awards, it won the award for Best First Film.
Synopsis
Set in the backdrop of a village the film revolves around ‘Kabaddi’ game and ‘Love’ aspect between Praveen and Priya that faces lot of problems. A coolie working in rice mill Praveen not educated enough is spotted by Kabaddi coach Beeresh (Kishore). He is given essential training and Praveen is sent to village head's house to learn English from Priya. In the process of learning English Praveen and Priya fall in love that is not liked by everyone. The love affair becomes very strong and all forces are used to keep Praveen away from the village. Priya objects insult to Praveen in the house but it becomes inevitable for Praveen to leave the village. After three years Praveen is back in his village for the upkeep of the prestige of his village. For the Mandya Blues team he is the key player but Praveen faces another problem. His friends are rounded off by police on a murder charge. Rs.5 lakh is need as security bond that is served a gambler because he loves to gamble in the game of ‘Kabaddi’. The play this time in the national level is in the absence of coach Beeresh. Praveen win the game and also the love. Thanks to the final scoring made by BC Ramesh the national player in ‘Kabbaddi’.Actors

Lau Kar Leung is the current teacher of a kung fu school in Hong Kong, however it is the 80’s and people are not interested in "old school" kung fu anymore. He receives a letter telling him to pick up the schools boss from the airport which much to his surprise is Kara Hui. Kara is the daughter of the schools master, thus making her the "de facto" boss. She is very much Americanized and begins making changes at the school and taking in students off the street, discos, and bars, which angers the traditionalist Lau Kar Leung. Eventually Kara gets in trouble with a local gang headed up by Wang Lung Wei, and after provoking a fight at bar owned by Wang, Lau Kar Leung is forced to rescue her and teach Wang Lung Wei and his thugs a slight lesson. This forces Wang to retaliate until a fight breaks out in a local gym in which Wang Lung Wei is defeated and Kara eventually returns to the U.S. after realizing Lau should be in charge of the school.

The story follows Princess Shizu (Hiroko Yakushimaru), her family slain and on the run from her enemies. The main character, J.J. McQuade (Norris), is a former Marine and a Texas Ranger who prefers to work alone. He lives in an old trailer in the middle of nowhere with a pet wolf. The film opens with McQuade involved in an intense battle with Mexican bandits and a gang of horse thieves from which he emerges unscathed (saving several Texas State Troopers). Shaking off the dust, McQuade returns to El Paso, Texas to attend the retirement ceremony of his fellow Ranger and close friend Dakota (Jones). After the party, his commander attempts to curb his "lone wolf" attitude by insisting he work with local Texas State Trooper Kayo Ramos (Beltran), a tough but clean-cut and polite Latino. Although divorced, McQuade is on very good terms with his ex-wife, and loves his teenage daughter Sally. McQuade also seems to like Sally's boyfriend Bobby, who is enlisted in the US Army and is respectful of McQuade being a retired Marine.

In Japan, the home of Chozen "Cho" Osaki (Sho Kosugi) is attacked by an army of ninjas, resulting in the slaughter of his entire family except for his mother and his younger son, Kane (Kane Kosugi).
