Kalkijug (Bengali: কল্কিযুগ kol-kee-joog, meaning Age of Kalki) is an upcoming Indian Bengali thriller film directed by Debarati Gupta, and produced by Macneill Engineering Ltd. It features Bratya Basu and Debshankar Halder in lead roles. The film is scheduled for release in the end of July 2015.
The film depicts a clash of ego between two brilliant minds that pans out dramatically when an old unsolved murder mystery resurfaces out of the blue.

The movie in its entirety is shot in retrospect with the father, Anupam Chaudhury, being placed at the beginning of the movie to talk about his intense and sexual relationship with his daughter, Jhilmil's friend Maithrayee. The scene then switches to the event that Anupam was talking about as the scene involves Maithrayee getting intimate with Jhilmil's father, Anupam, in his bedroom and Maithrayee revealing that she came from a divorced family and that she has a strained relationship with her mother. As they get intimate, Maithrayee says that she is in love with him and begs him to love her back. Maithrayee also confronts Anupam about him being the ghost writer for his wife, Aaloklata's novels and poems and questions the reason behind choosing to do so. As the movie progresses, Maithrayee confesses that she presumed Anupam to be the cook of the household when she had made a move on him but continued to indulge even after she discovered that he's the father of her friend Jhilmil.

Himan (Tathagata), a young boy from a good family accidentally lands up in a rd light area after his spots his sister in that area. One day who refuse to recognize him. He is thrashed by then local goon, but he is saved by Altamasi, a brothel owner who in due course of time brings him up as her own son. Other sex workers try to poison Altamasi’s mind against Himan, but she has immense belief in him. Himan whwo has an excellent academic record gives tuitions to earn some money. He is very fond of Dolly, Altamasi’s younger daughter and wants her to be away from this bad world. He has two friends called Shiuli and Mehuli, twin sisters who are totally opposite to each in character. Mehuli loves Himan, but since he never reciprocates her love; she never forgives him. In due course of time, Himan comes to know that she runs a massage parlour where that massagers double up as sex workers. Himan wants to do something to improve the lives of the sex workers so he becomes a social worker by chance. He is very close to Dallia (Debasree Ray), a former sex worker who runs a high class brothel, but wants to do something for this section of the society. She is made a candidate for the elections, but discovers that she has become part of the vicious circle and that in due course of time she would be eliminated by the very people who are helping her to contest the election. Shiva becomes extremely dangerous and sets a sex worker on fire after gang raping her. Dallia can’t take it any more and decides to finish off Shiva once and for all. She hacks Shiva to death and is sent to jail.

The story is all about Joseph, an orphan(Rishi), who is brought up by a Father (Soumitra Chatterjee) of a church. Joseph’s childhood friend Kancha (Kanchan Mallick) tries to stop him from doing this crime, but fails to stop him. But honest Joseph doesn’t become a criminal, when Ankhi enters the O.T. he surrenders to police, and gets imprisoned for 4 years. When after 4 years he comes out of the jail he finds the Father is no more. He searches for Ankhi and finds that she has become very rich. He decides not to reveal his identity to Ankhi and stay away from her. Joseph gets a job of a singer at a bar with Kancha’s help. There Rahul Roy (Subrat Dutta) notices him and gives him the job of his driver. Suddenly Joseph comes to know that presently Ankhi is Rahul’s love interest. On the day of their engagement Rahul forces Joseph to sing a song. By listening to the song Ankhi realizes that Joseph is Aditya and she leaves the party with tears. Rahul understands the situation. In this mean time Reshmi arrives at the party for being the schoolmate of Rahul. There she identifies Joseph and tells everyone that he is a criminal. But Rahul understands the love and feelings of Joseph and allows Ankhi and Joseph to get engaged and thus the movie ends happily.

Remake of Tamil movie Ninaikkaadha Naalillai. Debdutta and Arun are inseparable childhood peers who maintain an excellent bonhomie as adults. While Arun becomes a cop, Deb joins a refrigerator company as a senior executive. Meanwhile Deb falls in love with Kabita. While Deb and Kabita plan to marry, Kabita recommends her closest friend’s name (Kajol) as a partner for Arun. Debdutta goes to Arun and lays out the plan and the duo hope to marry together, in the same day. But things go awry when Arun hurts himself while defusing a car bomb. He burns so badly that doctors abandon all hope. Succumbing to injuries, a dying Arun requests Deb to bring Kajol for a final instance. Deb goes to fetch Kajol, but her uncle Binod bashes up Deb because he has diverse plans of marrying Kajol to a Dubaian tycoon. Deb gets back to the hospital unscathed, shivering in despair. Meanwhile Kabita arrives at the venue. Deb requests and prays Kabita to act as Kajol only for a solitary instance, as the last wish of a dying man (Arun had never seen Kajol). But after experiencing Kabita as Kajol, Arun miraculously returns to life from the jaws of death. Kabita gets tragically stamped as Kajol and Deb sacrifices his love for the sake of his peer. Deb searches out Kajol, but she gets stabbed to death by Binod. Abandoning all hope Deb advises Kabita to marry Arun and remain Kajol for her forthcoming life. A dumbstruck Kabita prepares to sacrifice everything. But on the day of marriage Arun reveals that he knows every move of the sacrificing couple and ultimately the estranged and tested lovers re-unite.

The film revolves around four youths who try to discover their perfect love matches. Things repeatedly go wrong till they get resolved on Mandarmani beach near Kolkata. Imon (Rimjhim Mitra), is a pretty, modern dancer and choreographer with a steady boyfriend Akaash (Ritwik Chakraborty) who is a happy-go-lucky young man. Akaash is not confident about his English yet does not suffer a complex because his girlfriend is good at it. The problem is that they keep fighting all the time till it breaks up. The two are quick to find two other youngsters, Vicky (Abir Chatterjee) and Piya (Payel Sarkar) to replace their former steady mates. But who is the right partner for the other? Is Vicky better than Akaash for Imon or would she rather stick to the troublesome Akaash? Is the ambitious, beautiful and petite Payal good enough for Akaash or would she rather go along with the USA-returned Vicky who is a short while away from flying off to Toronto? This is a love story with the modern generation X in mind. There is romance, there is cynicism, ambition and love. Above all there is comedy and a touch of sex without which no love story is complete. Cross connection deals with Imon’s three loves, Aakash’s three loves, Piya’s switches and Vicky’s intentions. This is a love story where egos clash to raise a laugh.

The film starts with a flashback. ACP Bose (Ferdous) is a sincere police officer happily married and lives with his parents and younger brother Surya (Jeet). Surjo is a college student and he falls in love with his classmate Indu (Srabanti). Enter Section Shankar, Bharat Kaul, the villain who is notorious for settlements and land deals. Indu comes across ACP Bose when she is on a field trip from her college with her friends. She gets friendly with his daughter Pinky who tells her that she would get her introduced to her uncle Surya and they would make a good pair.
