Kinshasa Kids is a Belgian drama film, which was screened at several film festivals in 2012 and is slated for general release on February 6, 2013. The film was written and directed by Marc-Henri Wajnberg.

Set in Kinshasa, Democratic Republic of the Congo, the film focuses on a group of street kids, expelled from their homes after being accused of witchcraft, who form a hip hop group while a documentary crew films their efforts.

The film's cast includes Gabi Bolenge, Bebson Elemba, Joël Eziegue, Emmanuel Fakoko, Mickaël Fataki, Gauthier Kiloko, José Mawanda, Sammy Molebe, Joséphine Nsimba Mpongo, Rachel Mwanza, Emmanuel Ndosi El Bas, Django Abdul Bampu Sumbu, Jean Shaka Tshipamba and Papa Wemba. The film received two nominations at the 4th Magritte Awards, winning Best Editing for Marie-Hélène Dozo.

Synopsis

Kinshasa, République démocratique du Congo. Près de 30 000 enfants, accusés de sorcellerie et rejetés par leur famille, vivent dans les rues de Kinshasa. Emma et sa bande, tous considérés comme des enfants sorciers, décident de former un groupe de rap pour conjurer leur sort et reprendre le contrôle de leur vie. Aidés par Bebson, un musicien allumé, ils feront vibrer Kinshasa ! Avec leur groupe Kinshasa Kid !

Two hunters come into the jungle intent on killing as many animals as they can in order to get barrels of animal fat, lion skins and elephant tusks. Tarzan tries to help a baby elephant, one of their first victims. He takes the elephant to an animal doctor and his female assistant, who have pitched their tents in the jungle to do business. The hunters turn up and pretend they are photographers and have the doctor escort them to where the animals are. They leave the doctor and start killing animals. His assistant finds out what they're really up to and goes after them but needs Tarzan's help when she stumbles into quicksand. He rescues her, and she says she needs a bath so Tarzan throws her into the river.

In The Gambia, West Africa, in 1750 Kunta Kinte is born to Omoro Kinte (Thalmus Rasulala), a Mandinka warrior, and his wife, Binta (Cicely Tyson). During the voyage a group of rebels among the human cargo try but fail to stage a mutiny and to take over the ship.
