Synopsis
Grand pianiste de renommée internationale, Julien Fontanet se souvient... En 1961, dans le village où il a grandi, Sainte-Cécile, malgré son jeune âge, Julien est déjà fin mélomane. En effet, non seulement ce garçon bénéficie d'un véritable talent, en faveur de sa mère, mais également il est doté d'une oreille absolue. Mais sa passion pour la musique ne plaît pas à son père, qui souhaite voir son fils reprendre l'entreprise familiale. Un jour, Julien découvre par hasard un piano oublié dans une bergerie abandonnée, ainsi que son mystérieux propriétaire, Benjamin, qui va lui révéler un lourd secret. Julien va remonter peu à peu le cours des souvenirs pour découvrir l'histoire de son nouvel ami Benjamin qui lui enseigne si profondément le piano. Son enquête avec son amie Rosine l'amène bientôt sur le passé noir de son père. En réalité, Benjamin s'étant marié avec une juive Sarah était un des plus grands pianistes de l'époque jusqu'à ce que l'armée allemande occupe Paris. Enfin, ce grand musicien parachève sa succession juste avant sa mort, en choisissant Julien en tant que son héritier. Il l'appelle son "dernier fils".Actors

The Young Girls of Rochefort takes place over the course of one weekend in the seaside town of Rochefort, where a fair is coming to the town square. The King (Jean Marais) promises his dying Queen that after her death he will only marry a woman as beautiful and virtuous as she. Pressed by his advisers to remarry and produce an heir, he comes to the conclusion that the only way to fulfil his promise is to marry his own daughter, the Princess (Catherine Deneuve). Following the advice of her godmother, the Lilac Fairy (Delphine Seyrig), the Princess demands a series of seemingly impossible nuptial gifts, in the hope that her father will be forced to give up his plans of marriage. However, the King succeeds in providing her with dresses the colour of the weather, of the moon and of the sun, and finally with the skin of a magic donkey that excretes jewels, the source of his kingdom's wealth. Donning the donkey skin, the Princess flees her father's kingdom to avoid the incestuous marriage.

The film begins in a working-class neighborhood in the Paris of the 1960s. The main character, Moїse Schmidt (Momo), is a young Jewish boy growing up without a mother and with a father afflicted by crippling depression. Momo is fascinated by the elderly Turkish Muslim man, Ibrahim Demirci ([demiɾˈdʒi]), who runs a grocery store across the street from his apartment (where Momo often shoplifts). Their relationship develops and soon Momo feels closer to Ibrahim than to his father. Ibrahim affectionately calls Moїse Momo, and adopts him when his father leaves and commits suicide. Momo and Ibrahim go on a journey to Turkey, Ibrahim's homeland, in their new car (a Simca Aronde Océane) where Momo learns about Ibrahim's culture. Before they can have an big advanture, Ibrahim is killed in a car crash and Momo returns to Paris to take over the shop.
