Lilja 4-ever is a 2002 Swedish-Danish drama film directed by Lukas Moodysson. Lilja 4-ever is a story of the downward spiral of Lilja, played by Oksana Akinshina, a girl in the former Soviet Union whose mother abandons her to move to the United States. The story is loosely based on the true case of Danguolė Rasalaitė, and examines the issue of human trafficking and sexual slavery.
The film received positive reviews both in Sweden and abroad. It won five Guldbagge Awards including Best Film, and was nominated for Best Film and Best Actress at the European Film Awards.
Synopsis
The film starts with a figure running desperately towards a motorway bridge, with a factory belching smoke in the background, to a soundtrack of Mein Herz brennt by Rammstein. When the figure turns around the film introduces the audience to Lilja, who has recently been brutally beaten. The film reveals her past.Actors

Together is set in one of the communes that sprang up around Stockholm in the 1970s. Loosely led by the sweet-natured Göran, who will do anything to avoid a conflict, the group spend their time arguing about left-wing politics and other questions such as whether doing the dishes is bourgeois. Nami Matsushima (Meiko Kaji) is set up by her boyfriend, a crooked police detective named Sugimi (Isao Natsuyagi) to win favor with the Yakuza. She is raped by several drug dealers. She makes a failed attempt to stab Sugimi on the steps of the Tokyo Metropolitan Police Headquarters. She is sentenced to do hard time in a women's prison. Matsushima is given the number 701. The prison is run by sadistic and lecherous male guards. The prisoners are forced to walk up and down a stair-like contraption naked with male guards watching from below. While in prison she meets inmates like Yuki Kida (Yayoi Watanabe) who was committed for fraud and theft, Otsuka (Akemi Negishi), jailed for burglary and extortion, and Katagiri (Rie Yokoyama) who has been impounded for arson and illegally disposing of a body. On the outside, Sugimi and the Japanese mafia orchestrate a plan in which Matsushima will succumb to an "accidental" death in prison. They enlist the help of Katagiri, pulling on her ties to both Sugimi and the mafia, and quickly set their plan in motion.

1935. Jacques et Simon sont deux petits malfrats à la petite semaine vivant de braquages et de vols de bijoux. La sortie de la "Citroën Traction Avant" leur ouvre de nouvelles perspectives en raison de sa grande vitesse. Ils intensifient leurs forfaits tandis que l'inspecteur Deschamp s’intéresse à eux. Dans un bal populaire, Jacques drague Lola, une jolie prostituée qui va désormais les accompagner dans leur coups... Lorsque la Seconde Guerre mondiale éclate, les trois amis se trouve embringués dans une affaire de vol de tableaux récupérés chez des collectionneurs juifs. Le trio souhaite alors doubler les allemands, déroute le train transportant les tableaux et charge un camion. Les autorités allemandes déclarent qu'en représailles 50 civils seront fusillés à moins que les tableaux soient rendus. Simon rend le contenu du camion aux allemands, mais désormais la guerre est ouverte entre le trio et l'inspecteur Deschamp, passé entre temps collaborateur de la Gestapo. Deschamp parviendra à kidnapper et à torturer Lola qui refusera de parler. De son côté Jacques et Simon kidnappent Dominique la femme de Deschamp. Les deux femmes sont échangées, mais Jacques a pu remarquer pendant sa capture que Dominique ne tenait pas en haute estime son mari. L'idée lui vient de coucher avec elle afin de lui soutirer des renseignements sur les activités en cours de la Gestapo. Cela fonctionne un moment jusqu’au jour où Jacques et Dominique sont arrêtés sur leur lieu de rendez-vous. On torture Jacques, Dominique dit alors aux allemands que c'est son mari qui fournit des renseignements à la résistance. Deschamp a alors le choix, tuer sa femme ou se suicider, il tue Dominique, mais les allemands considérant qu'il s'agit d'un acte de résistance désespéré, le torturent et l’emprisonnent. A la Libération, Jacques est décoré par le général De Gaulle... mais Deschamps également qui se voit offrir un poste important au ministère de l'intérieur.
