Lumière and Company (1995, original title Lumière et compagnie) was a collaboration between forty-one international film directors in which each made a short film using the original Cinématographe camera invented by the Lumière brothers.
Shorts were edited in-camera and constrained by three rules:

After having sex with his girlfriend Lucie (Pailhas) in a bathroom, Arthur (Duris) discovers that a ceiling panel is a time portal to the Paris in the future, although it appears more like a sun-baked desert city by that point. Fabio Lini est inspecteur de police alors qu'il ambitionnait d'être acteur. Benoît Blanc est un homme d'affaires sans scrupules. Filmed in the aftermath of the global financial crisis, and exploring themes of globalization, class distinctions and income inequality, the film opens in the French seaside town of Dunkirk.
