Synopsis
Une caravane d'hommes et de chevaux se prépare à accompagner un vieux cheikh à travers les montagnes de l'Atlas vers sa famille lointaine, auprès desquels il souhaite vivre ses derniers jours. Lorsque la caravane arrive dans les zones les plus inhospitalières de la montagne, certains hommes renoncent au voyage et refusent de s'exposer au danger, car personne ne connaît de chemin viable. Le vieux cheikh s'éloigne du groupe pour s'isoler et meurt plus tôt que prévu. Seuls deux petits voyous décident de continuer le chemin avec la dépouille, trouvant ainsi enfin un sens à leur vie, ainsi qu'un prédicateur religieux. Ils devront alors affronter les dangers des rivières, des chemins escarpés et des ennemis cachés.Comments

The film focuses on the courtship and marriage of aging Greek Theo Tomasis, who rose from his humble peasant roots to become an influential mogul who owns oil tankers, airlines, and Mediterranean islands and longs to be elected President of Greece, and considerably younger Liz Cassidy, the beautiful widow of the assassinated President of the United States. Aging, respected commander Paul Blanchard (Heston) is on his final submarine tour before promotion to command of a submarine squadron (COMSUBRON). Surfaced and returning to port, the submarine, USS Neptune, is struck by a Norweigian freighter in route to New York in heavy fog, and sinks to a depth of 1,450 feet (442 meters) on a canyon ledge above the ocean floor. A United States Navy rescue force, commanded by Captain Bennett (Keach), arrives on the scene, but Neptune is subsequently rolled by a gravity slide to a greater angle that does not allow the Navy's Deep Submergence Rescue Vehicle (DSRV) rescue submarine to complete its work.

Vikas Chandra (Vinod Mehra) and Aarti (Rekha) have recently married, and they move into their new apartment. One day they go out to watch a late night Hindi movie at a local cinema theatre. The movie gets over well after midnight, and as no cab is found this hour, they decide to walk home by foot. On the way, they are suddenly waylaid by four men, who assault Vikas, leaving him unconscious, and forcibly take Aarti with them. When Vikas regains his senses he finds himself in hospital with a head wound. He is informed that Aarti is in the same hospital, after being gang-raped and assaulted. This incident makes headlines in the media, and is also a subject of discussion by politicians during their election campaign. Vikas feels haunted by this incident, and does not know how to act further. Aarti, on the other hand, has been completely traumatised, and is unable to trust any male. Now the couple faces a serious crisis leading to a loveless relationship, and only a miracle can bring the old spark back into their married life.
