Synopsis
Simon rentre au pays après plusieurs années passées à l'étranger. Il transporte de la drogue afin de réparer une erreur commise il y a longtemps, mais il souhaite quitter le pays le plus tôt possible. Raymond veut emmener sa maîtresse Louise en voyage mais, à soixante ans, cette dernière ne veut pas quitter son mari. Martin ment à sa conjointe Evelyne à la veille de leur départ pour des vacances et passe sa journée au casino. Étienne, qui est Témoin de Jéhovah, est gravement malade mais refuse toute transfusion. Sa fiancée Julie, infirmière, est confrontée à un dilemme lorsqu'un passager gravement brûlé est admis à l'hôpital après un écrasement d'avion.Actors

Le film relate l'histoire de Tommy, un enfant de 10 ans bien connu des services sociaux québécois. Mis dans un centre éducatif fermé après une agression sexuelle commise sur un de ses camarades, cet enfant, perturbé par une vie familiale perverse, rebelle à l'autorité comme à l'affection, est jugé irrécupérable par la plupart des éducateurs. Tommy se déchaîne régulièrement lors de crises d'une violence absolue et pour le personnel du centre, il constitue un danger pour la vie du groupe. Francis and Marie first meet Nicolas at a dinner party, where they both feign lack of interest in him. Over the next couple of weeks, the three form a close friendship, meeting up regularly and even sleeping together in the same bed. However, it is clear that both Marie and Francis have an interest in Nicolas beyond friendship. Francis is unhappy when Nicolas invites Marie to the theater. Marie is visibly disappointed when she arrives at a Vietnamese restaurant with Nicolas after the play, finds Francis dining with several friends, and watches Nicolas take a seat at the end of the table furthest from her. Francis, left alone in Nicolas' apartment, masturbates while smelling his unlaundered shirt. Both interpret Nicolas' actions as signs of intimacy and affection: Nicolas eats a cherry from Francis' hand; Nicolas tells Marie he loves her and also loves Francis.
