Add to a movie list10½ is a 2010 Canadian drama film directed by Daniel Grou and written by Claude Lalonde. It premiered at the Festival du Nouveau Cinéma in Montreal. The story involves a ten-year-old boy called Tommy in the youth-protection system in Quebec.
Synopsis
Le film relate l'histoire de Tommy, un enfant de 10 ans bien connu des services sociaux québécois. Mis dans un centre éducatif fermé après une agression sexuelle commise sur un de ses camarades, cet enfant, perturbé par une vie familiale perverse, rebelle à l'autorité comme à l'affection, est jugé irrécupérable par la plupart des éducateurs. Tommy se déchaîne régulièrement lors de crises d'une violence absolue et pour le personnel du centre, il constitue un danger pour la vie du groupe. Seul Gilles, son nouvel éducateur, entrevoit une lueur d'espoir dans le regard de cet enfant qui ne communique que par la violence.Actors

The ordinary life of surgeon Bruno Hamel (Claude Legault) is destroyed when his daughter Jasmine (Rose-Marie Coallier) is raped and murdered in a park. Upon learning that the police apprehended the prime suspect, laborer Anthony Lemaire (Martin Dubreuil), Hamel plans to take revenge. He abducts Lemaire while he is being brought to his trial by drugging the officer driving the transport vehicle and brings him to a secluded cabin. Using a remote-controlled computer to conceal his location, Hamel calls the police to inform them that he plans to murder Lemaire in seven days, the seventh day being Jasmine's birthday. After killing him, Hamel will give himself up to the police.

Lincoln Hawk is a struggling trucker who arm wrestles on the side to make extra cash while trying to rebuild his life. Hawk's estranged wife Christina, who is very ill, asks that Hawk pick up their son Michael from military school so that the two of them can get to know each other; Hawk had left them ten years earlier. In the beginning, a red/white '58 Plymouth Fury is built at its assembly line. While a worker begins to investigate the engine for any mistakes, the car surprisingly closes its hood on his hand, injuring him. An aircraft carrying young military school cadets returning home crash lands into the sea near a remote, uninhabited, jungle island in the Pacific Ocean. Among the survivors is the pilot, Captain Benson (Michael Greene), who is seriously injured and delirious. Meanwhile, on the beach, an overweight cadet, whose real name is never revealed, nicknamed “Piggy” (Danuel Pipoly), finds a conch seashell and takes it to the grouped cadets, who adopt it to signal the right to speak and be heard by the group. The senior cadet, and one of the elder boys, Cadet Colonel Ralph (Balthazar Getty), organizes a meeting to discuss surviving their predicament. Ralph and Jack (Chris Furrh) emerge dominant, with Ralph's seniority in rank making him the one in charge. They start a fire using Piggy's glasses to try and alert any passing craft. Tensions begin to grow between Ralph and Jack.
