Mission in Tangier (French: Mission à Tanger) is a 1949 French drama film directed by André Hunebelle and starring Raymond Rouleau, Gaby Sylvia and Mila Parély. It was the first in the trilogy of films featuring dashing reporter Georges Masse, it was followed in 1950 by Méfiez-vous des blondes.

Synopsis

During the Second World War, Georges Masse undergoes a dangerous mission by taking secret documents from Tangiers to London.

Grand reporter à "Paris-Matin", le désinvolte et séduisant Georges Masse est un homme couvert de femmes. Il interrompt ses vacances pour éliminer une bande de gangsters opérant sur la Lagune de Venise. Aidé du gaffeur mais fidèle P'tit-Louis, il démasque successivement l'énigmatique Sophocle Zélos et Alessandro Cassidi, époux trop âgé de la troublante Clara qui meurt dans ses bras. Il ne reste plus à Masse qu'à poursuivre ses vacances avec l'adorable commissaire de police Thérésa Larsen.

Riche, sous un nouveau nom de Christian Montès, Edmond s'introduit dans le milieu où Morcerf — qui a épousé la fiancée d'Edmond, Maria — et Villefort vivent luxueusement grâce aux millions volés qui ont permis leur réussite. Il retrouve le dénonciateur qui confirme ses soupçons et il attire dans un piège les deux instigateurs de la félonie. Linda tend un piège au maître Villefort, qui veut tuer Edmond pour la deuxième fois.
