New Frontier is a 1939 American film starring John Wayne, Ray "Crash" Corrigan, Raymond Hatton, and Jennifer Jones. This was the last of eight Three Mesquiteers Western B-movies with Wayne (there were fifty-one altogether). A restored 35 mm copy of the film exists and was screened at the Museum of Modern Art in New York City as part of a 2007 John Wayne centennial retrospective, which included The Big Trail, The Searchers, and True Grit. The leading lady is Jennifer Jones billed as Phylis Isley. The director was George Sherman.

Au début des années 1880, un escroc fait valider un faux document, censé dater de l'occupation espagnole, qui lui donne des droits sur plus de 5 millions d'hectares. Il s'y conduit comme un vrai dictateur en faisant payer des loyers exorbitants aux ranchers, et en expulsant ceux qui ne peuvent pas payer. The Cattlemen's Association has called in the Mesquiteers to find cattle rustlers. They get Tex Riley to pose as Stony so Stony can arrive posing as a wanted outlaw. This gets Stony into the gang of rustlers and he alerts Tucson and Lullaby as to the next raid. But Hartley is on hand and unknown to anyone is the rustler's boss and he joins the posse with a plan that will do away with the Mesquiteers.
