Parijatha is a 2012 Indian Kannada romantic film directed by Prabhu Srinivas. The film stars Diganth and Aindrita Ray in the lead roles.
The film is a remake of Tamil Successful film Boss Engira Bhaskaran starring Arya and Nayantara. The film was a musical hit with the soundtrack and score composed by Mano Murthy. The film also received appreciation for its neat screenplay.
Synopsis
Bhaskar,Boss Diganth is bowled over by the beauty of Chandrika, Aindrita Ray. Bhaskar is a lazy bone, freeloader and not intelligent enough to make living on his own. He has not passed PUC after several attempts. He goes to the examination hall with 36 chits to copy the answers to the questions. He is caught by Chandrika who is the invigilator. There is a family bondage when veterinary doctor Ramakrishna elder brother of Bhaskar marries Chandrika's elder sister Nandini. The useless guy Bhaskar starts a tuition class for 10th standard students. He brings in Shakeela as teacher and the only good thing happens is all the dull students parents sorrows is told to them via video presentation.In the mission of tuition Bhaskar wins with the help of his barber friend (played by Sharan) but again the hardship is Chandrika's father because on the retirement day he was insulted by Bhasker's friend sharan.Chandrika has to agree for a new match this time.Rest forms the climax.

However, his uncle (Achyuth Kumar) is the only exception. His friend Satish (Satish Neenasam) is a neighbour and cable operator, whose love for one of their neighhour - Bhamini, is unrequited. Bhamini gets married to a software engineer, and at the wedding reception, tells Manu that she loves him, but couldn't live with him (given his status). She also asks him to do something with his life, and not throw it away by spending his time criticizing the people around him. Meanwhile, Satish takes note of the "gulf" between Bhamini's new husband and himself, and decides to prove himself that he is indeed more worthy than she thinks of him. To that end, Manohar and Satish get together and invent a "electricity producing machine" which harnesses its power from vehicles that drive on roads (the fact that this isn't free energy, and that it would cost motorists who drive over it some extra fuel is not mentioned in the movie). His demonstration goes off well, but a police car chasing a criminal on a motorbike suddenly drives onto the machine, which causes the car to flip over, and in fact nearly kills the constables inside.
Actor Duniya Vijay plays a double role Rajani and Kantha with one of the characters is born with a cleft palate. The film's plot lies in how people with the condition deal with the jibes that come their way and emerge stronger.
