Mukhyamantri Chandru (Kannada: ಮುಖ್ಯಮಂತ್ರಿ ಚಂದ್ರು) (born 28 August 1953) is a Kannada movie actor and politician who resides in Bangalore, Karnataka. He is a versatile actor, easily fitting into comedy roles or playing more serious parts as a villain. Mukhya Mantri was a popular Kannada drama in which he played the lead role, during the 1970s and 1980s, which resulted in getting the prefix to his original name. He is President of Kannada Abhivriddhi Pradhikara, a Government Authority which looks after implementation of Kannada language in Karnataka and as a President, he holds the rank equalent to a Cabinet Minister of Government of Karnataka.

Biography

Chandru got his Bachelor of Science degree from Siddaganga College, Tumkur and Bachelor of Laws degree from Government College, Bangalore. He hails from a Sadaru(Hindu) caste. Initially, he joined a drama troupe which finally led to roles in the Kannada films. He married Padma in June 1983 and has 2 sons, Bharath Chandru and Sharath Chandru. He has been awarded a Honorary Doctorate from Gulbarga University for his social, cultural and language concerns and services.

The film starts with a flashback. ACP Varadhanayaka (Sudeep) is a sincere police officer happily married and lives with his parents and younger brother Hari (Chiranjeevi Sarja). Hari is a college student and he falls in love with his classmate Sirisha (Nikeesha Patel). Enter Section Shankar (P. Ravi Shankar) the villain who is notorious for settlements and land deals. Sirisha comes across ACP Varadhanayaka when she is on a field trip from her college with her friends. She gets friendly with his daughter Pinky who tells her that she would get her introduced to her uncle Hari and they would make a good pair. It turns out that Hari studies in Sirisha’s college and soon after they accidentally even come to know each other and get close.

Bhaskar,Boss Diganth is bowled over by the beauty of Chandrika, Aindrita Ray. Bhaskar is a lazy bone, freeloader and not intelligent enough to make living on his own.
