Synopsis
A la suite d'une violente altercation avec son frère dans les faubourgs de Los Angeles, Bonnie s'enfuit dans les rues désertes en pleine nuit. Son escapade va l'amener à rencontrer diverses personnes. D'abord Pat, une black qui voit en Bonnie, belle bonde plantureuse, l'instrument idéal pour piéger le premier homme riche venu.Mais Pat double sa complice d'un jour et file à l'anglaise. Bonnie, seule et sans argent, est un peu plus tard prise sur le fait pour vol à l'étalage. Mais heureusement pour elle, une femme lui sauve la mise, Geraldine, qui est artiste peintre. Celle-ci l'invite chez elle. Les deux femmes sympathisent, elles ont même une liaison. Bonnie pose pour Geraldine, et le tableau, une fois achevé, est exposé dans la galerie d'art de Vincent Stackman, un personnage pour le moins étrange, qui achète le tableau et tombe sous le charme de Bonnie.Actors

Willy Grogan is a small-time boxing promoter based in the Catskills resort region of Cream Valley, New York. He owns the Grogan's Gaelic Gardens inn. In 1943, Captain Buzz Rickson (Steve McQueen) is an arrogant pilot in command of a Boeing B-17 Flying Fortress bomber nicknamed The Body. While stationed in England during World War II, one of the bombing missions is aborted because clouds obscure all potential targets, but Rickson ignores the order to turn around and dives under the clouds. He completes the mission, at the cost of one of the bombers in his squadron and its entire crew. Rickson revels in the fighting and destruction; when he is assigned to drop propaganda leaflets, he makes his displeasure felt by buzzing the airfield. His commanding officer tolerates his repeated insubordination because he is the best pilot in the bomber group. Even so, when he asks the flight surgeon his opinion, the latter is uncertain whether Rickson is a hero or a psychopath. Meng Hu (Don Wong) and Capt. Chow Lung (Lo Lieh) are local supercops who are cracking down on crime with a vengeance. That is, until several fighters get the drop on Chow who ends up dead. Meng blames himself and retires from crime fighting to become a pathetic drunk, drowning in shame. He finds work at a brothel for a time, until a patron's abuse of one of the girls causes him to interfere despite his refusal to fight. After being wounded, he stumbles to the doorstep of a martial arts school run by Magistrate Chen (Chui Chung Hei). Hoping to stay away from conflict, Meng finds work there, but trouble finds him anyway. A white-haired master named Chung Tung (Chang Yi) tries to bribe Chen into letting opium smugglers into the city. Chen refuses and has acupuncture needles thrust into him that will kill him unless removed by Chung Tung who hopes to control the magistrate. Pushed to the limit, Meng finally comes up with a plan to help beat Chung Tung and save Chen. Sadly, Chen believes his son and daughter are giving into Chung Tung and he removes the needles himself. With nothing holding them back, Meng and Chen's offspring leap into action to take out this pack of drug pushers.

Jimmy "Fingers" Angelelli (Harvey Keitel) is a brilliant young pianist who also works as a collector for his father Ben (Michael V. Gazzo), a powerful loan shark. Wherever Jimmy goes, he always carries a stereo with him, playing classic rock from the '50's and '60's. While trying to concentrate on an up-coming recital interview at Carnegie Hall, Jimmy loses focus when he falls for a woman named Carol (Tisa Farrow). He gets further side-tracked with collecting a large debt from a mafioso named Riccamonza (Tony Sirico), who eventually threatens Ben's life. This forces Jimmy to seek retribution.
