In the past, the young Seethalakshmi (Raadhika Sarathkumar) became pregnant but she didn't reveal the father's identity. Parijatham (Kushboo) was a famous folk dancer in her village and many rich landlords tried to woo her. Parijatham's mother Pattamma wanted a son-in-law who will let Parijatham dance after the marriage. She finally got married with another folk dancer Palanisamy (Sivakumar). Palanisamy's brother Kottaisamy (Selva) was a good for nothing young man who spent his time with Kattamuthu (Goundamani). Later, Parijatham changed Kottaisamy into a responsible person. He got married with the folk dancer Mala (Abhirami). Rumors around Parijatham and the rich landlord Naicker (Vinu Chakravarthy) became more intense. Palanisamy could not bear this rumor and split up with the pregnant Parijatham. One day, Kattamuthu's sister was raped by a rich landlord, she then committed suicide and Kottaisamy ridiculed the rapist in public. After this incident, the rapist joined forces with the other landlords, they prevented Kottaisamy to dance for the village festival. So Kottaisamy and Mala struggled to survive, Mala eventually died during a dance show and Kottaisamy became a drunkard. In the meantime, Palanisamy brought up alone his baby son and Parijatham stopped to dance.

Raghavan(Sirkazhi Govindarajan) and his daughter also come, raghavan is Tamil musician and Sirkazhi Govindarajan sing song by himself to the temples. And one Malayali family also travel the pilgrimage to bus. and the Young couple Mohan(Sasikumar) and his wife sundari. and the Brahmin family V. Goplakrishnan and his wife and children and another is Gandhimathi and who travel her Grandson Master Prabhakar. They Passengers are goes to Tirupati , Mysore, Chamundeshwari Temple Brindavan Gardens , Madurai Meenakshi Amman Temple , Thiruthani Murugan Temple Guruvayur Temple and finally the pilgrimage end into Kanniyakumari. They goes to temples are said to the history of temple and rule of temples.Sekar(Sivakumar) and Geetha(Kumari Padmini) was loves in our college days, but sekhar father was opposed to his son sekhar love, so sekhar write letter and leaves his home and join the pilgrimage, he many time requesting for geetha for our marriage proposal, but geetha was strictly said to sekhar our marriage was gets to sekhar father permission now. The end of the story sekhar and the co-passenger set some sensitive drama like sekhar commit suicide, the same time sekhar father was advertise newspaper for agree sekhar marriage. Then, who travel the passengers are arranged for sekahar and geetha another lalitha and Vasu marriage at Kanniyakumari temple.
