Prison Town, USA is a 2007 documentary film about Susanville, California, a small, rural town that tries to resuscitate its economy by building a prison. The film follows four men, their families, and how they react to the new institution: Lonnie Tyler, a prisoner, Dawayne Brasher and Gabe Jones, guards, and Mike O'Kelly, a dairyman threatened by how the prison could affect the community's buy-local policy.

Prison Town, USA was written, produced, and directed by Katie Galloway and Po Kutchins and was aired as part of the P.O.V. series on PBS.

The film profiles Michael Perry, a man on death row convicted of murdering Sandra Stotler, a fifty-year-old nurse of German descent. He was suspected, but never charged, in two other murders which occurred in Conroe, Texas. Perry was convicted eight years earlier of the October 2001 murder, apparently committed in order to steal a car for a joyride. Perry denies that he was responsible for the killings.
