Raining Cats and Frogs (French: La Prophétie des grenouilles, literally "The Prophecy of Frogs") is an award winning French traditional animation children's feature film, released in 2003, directed by Jacques-Rémy Girerd and written by Girerd, Antoine Lanciaux and Iouri Tcherenkov at the animation studio Folimage. It is the first feature produced by Folimage and is distributed internationally by Universal Pictures.
The movie is loosely based on the story of Noah's Ark. It is about a group of frogs who predict an imminent disaster where it will rain for forty days and forty nights. They tell a boy and girl who subsequently help save the animals in a zoo.
The French DVD was released in 2005 with English subtitles.
The US and Canada DVD Raining Cats and Frogs was released in 2008.
Synopsis
Ferdinand Bauer lives with his wife Juliette on a farm on a hill with their adoptive son (actually his grandson), Tom. The film begins when they agree to care of Lili, his other granddaughter, whom they will look after while Lili's parents travel by car and trailer to Africa on a safari. Lili's parents own a zoo, which they also leave in the care of Ferdinand and Juliette.Actors

Le film se déroule à Beaumont-les-Vignes, une commune fictive du sud-est de la France, dans un avenir proche. Deux sœurs, tante Hilda et Dolorès, ont suivi des parcours diamétralement opposés. Hilda, une jeune femme rousse à la silhouette dégingandée, est farouchement écologiste : elle se déplace à bicyclette, se préoccupe constamment de la préservation de l'environnement et a rassemblé un musée végétal où elle conserve toutes sortes de plantes. Dolorès, elle, est devenue la PDG sans scrupules d'une entreprise multinationale de l'agroalimentaire recherchant le profit à court terme. Grâce à la technologie des OGM, qui consiste à modifier génétiquement les plantes, Dolorès a mis au point une nouvelle céréale, baptisée Attilem, une sorte d'artichaut géant doté de tentacules. Ce nouveau produit, capable de pousser avec très peu d'eau et sans engrais, qui devrait lui rapporter des bénéfices astronomiques. Elle affirme même qu'il pourrait résoudre le problème de la faim dans le monde et remplacer le pétrole comme nouvelle source d'énergie. Mais bientôt, les plantes Attilem commencent à pousser trop vite, hors de tout contrôle, et envahissent le monde entier. Dolorès fait alors concevoir un pesticide qu'elle se propose de vendre aux gouvernements pour lutter contre la catastrophe qu'elle a elle-même provoquée. Tante Hilda ne l'entend pas de cette oreille et entreprend de sauver le monde, mais la partie n'est pas gagnée d'avance.

At a remote construction site in Latin America, an American developer named Jekhide attempts to build a resort, however the site is attacked by a mysterious force, causing several workers to get trapped underground. One of the worker's daughters Mia has a premonition. So after saying a few words of parting at her mother's grave, she sets out on a journey across mountains and jungles to search for her father. When the evil alien Zanon comes to enslave earth, all hope seems lost. The Earth's resident superheroes, the Spacewomen, are powerless to stop him. Strange events are taking place in Okinawa. An Azumi priestess has a terrifying vision of a city being destroyed by a giant monster. A type of metal not found on earth is discovered in a cave by a spelunker, Masahiko Shimizu, who takes it to Professor Miyajima for examination. An excavation led by Masahiko's brother Keisuke accidentally uncovers a chamber filled with ancient artifacts and a mural bearing an ominous prophecy: "When a black mountain appears above the clouds, a huge monster will arise and try to destroy the world; but then, when the red moon sets and the sun rises in the west, two more shall appear to save humanity." Keisuke is joined by archaeologist Saeko Kaneshiro, who translates the prophecy and takes one of the artefacts, bearing the likeness of the legendary monster King Caesar, to study. Two men stalk them, one who speaks to them and claims to be a reporter interested in the story, the other of whom attempts to steal the statue from them but fails and flees.

In the Australian Outback, a young boy named Cody rescues and befriends a rare golden eagle named Marahute, who shows him her nest and eggs. Later on, the boy unknowingly falls into an animal trap set by Percival C. McLeach, a local poacher wanted by the Australian Rangers. When McLeach finds one of the eagle's feathers on the boy's backpack, he is instantly overcome with excitement, for he knows that catching an eagle that size would make him rich because he had caught one before, which was Marahute's mate. McLeach throws Cody's backpack to a pack of crocodiles in order to trick the Rangers into thinking that Cody was dead, and kidnaps him in his attempt to force him to reveal the whereabouts of Marahute.
