Synopsis
Rani, a young girl is being brought up by her mother while her father is studying abroad. They live in her abusive uncle's house. Her best friend Pappu tells her about Lalpari. After watching the plane carrying her father crash, her mother dies out of shock. Rani decides to go to heaven to bring her mother back. She succeeds to reach heaven with the help of Lalpari and manages to trick Yamraj (God of truth and death). However Rani's father was only injured in the plane crash. Rani lives happily after with her parents.Actors

It is a thriller about a young woman, Sunita (played by Asha Parekh), who ends up married to the "wrong" man, Rajan. Thinking that he has conspired with his girlfriend Monica (played by Helen) to murder her, she runs away to find her father's old friend in Bangalore who may be able to help. Having no money, the only way she can get there is to join a traveling group of gypsies. There she meets Mohan (played by Jeetendra) and is attracted to him. But Nisha (played by Aruna Irani), who loves Mohan, can go to the extent of killing anyone who gets in her way.

Amirchand (Prem Chopra) is a successful businessman and lives a single parent life with his two daughters Harsha (Baby Pinky) and Varsha (Reena Roy). He has his family roots in his paternal village, where he goes to meet his parents (Kanhaiyya Lal and Leela Mishra) once in a blue moon. On one such vacation, Amrichand is stopped at the village outskirts by some villagers, who ask him to pay respect to a local peepal tree, which is considered to be holy. Guided by urban and logical ethics, Amirchand considers this as a village hoax and passes by. However, he and his family don't see the black cat sitting atop the holy tree, staring at them.

Drosselmeyer, a clockmaker and toymaker, is in his workshop. Suddenly getting an idea, he begins building on an intricate mechanical project resembling a cross between a model castle, a music box, and a toy theatre. After it is apparently completed, he falls asleep at his work table. The toy theatre stage opens; the rest of the film is implied to take place on this stage. Clara, a girl on the verge of adolescence, is asleep in her bedroom, dreaming of dancing with a prince before being interrupted by her younger brother Fritz, who summons a giant rat to bite her hand.
