Synopsis
Rani Padmini is a film that showcase's feminist strengths with the exuberance and beauty of Himachal Pradesh and surrounding areas. Padmini (Manju Warrier) a traditional married woman who goes to Manali to meet her car rallyist husband Giri (Jinu Joseph). Rani a north-indian bred troublemaker with feminine qualities running away from a rowdy who has posed threat to her life. As fate would have, they meet together and an illustrious journey starts where they are met with pleasantness, happiness, dread and excitement. The other half of the film is met with the generalist all-rounder aspect of women's capability, who can care, comfort and in even dire situations be a guiding force. Aashiq Abu's (director) skill in blending the exact amount of charm, snippiness, candour and clumsiness together with blanket of existential fun and basking creativity soars throughout the film.Actors

The film tells the love story of an obese youth named Luke John Prakash. Luke comes from a wealthy family. He is in love with a girl named Ann Mary Thadikkaran, his childhood friend whose parents are working in an insurance company. One day, Ann Mary's parents get a transfer to Ernakulam and she along with her parents shift to Ernakulam. Many years later, Ann Mary comes back to meet Luke in his house. One day, Ann Mary takes Luke to a restaurant. He falls and breaks the chair. Realizing she is not so fond of his fatness, Luke embarks on an Ayurvedic treatment run by Rahul Vaidyar to lose weight. One day, Luke escapes from the Ashram to meet Ann Mary on a Christmas Eve. There he is shocked to realize that Ann Mary is the agent of the Ashram and she does not love him anymore. Luke joins his father's political party Prakasham Parakkatte and finally becomes a mayor of his place. Ann Mary's father comes to meet Luke in the Mayor's office. He is shocked to realize that Rahul Vaidyar is a corrupt person and he is making money by decreasing the self-esteem of many people through advertisements and posters. Luke beats Rahul badly and warns him to stop his business. The story comes back to the present as Luke is waiting for Ann Mary in the beach. Ann Mary says sorry to Luke and proposes to him. But to everyone's surprise Luke rejects her proposal telling her that he is not her dream boy.

The Angels first take note of "Poet" (Jack Nicholson) after one of them inadvertently damages his motorcycle and breaks its headlight. Poet, with far more guts than brains, challenges the Angel that hit his motorcycle. This is an act that would traditionally result in every Angel present participating in a group beating of the attacker. "When a non-Angel hits an Angel, all Angels retaliate." But the leader of the Angels, Buddy (Adam Roarke), intervenes and tells Poet that the Angels will replace the headlight.
