Synopsis

Paula élève ses deux filles dans une ambiance familiale où Lía, sa nouvelle compagne, participe volontiers à leur éducation. Mais elles doivent faire face à un procès judiciaire entrepris par Víctor, son ex-mari, qui veut avoir la garde de leurs filles. Il considère que l’éducation que Paula leur offre et la vie conjugale qu’elle mène leur sont nocives.

The film is separated into four stories. The film commences on a sunny summer day in Yorkshire when Tamsin (Emily Blunt) meets Mona (Natalie Press). The former travels on horseback and chances upon Mona, who is resting in the grass. The two girls come from completely opposing background; Tamsin is from an upper-middle-class family and has recently been suspended from boarding school for being a bad influence; drinking alcohol. The two make a wager: If Kathryn wins, she gets Sebastian's vintage Jaguar XK140; if Sebastian wins, Kathryn will have sex with him. It is mentioned that Sebastian keeps a journal detailing his conquests.
