Synopsis
Rami, un jeune collégien handicapé d'origine libanaise à Montréal, vit sous le joug d'un père autoritaire qui le pousse à trouver une épouse. Mais Rami est un homme timide qui arrive difficilement à se lier d'amitié. Il préfère l'anonymat de la toile et s'est inventé un avatar pour contacter des femmes en se faisant passer pour un riche homme d'affaires dont le nom sur le chat est Roméo11. Piégé par ses propres mensonges, il se voit un jour contraint de donner un rendez-vous sentimental à une inconnue dans un hôtel luxueux.Comments

In the summer of 1936, the violence of the Spanish Civil war reaches a small village in Mallorca. Four children: Andreu Ramallo, Manuel Tur, Pau Inglada and a girl Francisca are witness to the execution of leftists at the hands of pro-Franco villagers. In a desperate act of revenge, Pau, whose father has been killed the previous day by the lead executioner, plans to avenge his father's murder torturing Julià Ballester, the son of his father's killer. His idea is to force the boy to drink castor oil. However, things go wrong when the boy—Julià Ballester—taunts them and Pau becomes enraged. He brutally kills Julià by bashing his head against a rock and then stabbing him in the throat. Unable to deal with what he has just done, Pau commits suicide jumping inside a hole on a cave. The remaining children: Andreu, Manuel, and Francisa are witnesses to these tragic events.

A man is robbed while making a call in a phone booth. Staggering in the middle of the road from the beating by the thieves, he is then struck by a car driving by a woman named Oom. Feeling sorry for him, Oom brings the man to her apartment and gives him shelter. The man, it turns out, has developed amnesia. Based the name on a pendant the man is wearing – his only possession – Oom names him Tan. A doctor's examination reveals that Tan is uninjured except that he can't remember anything about his life prior to being struck by Oom's car. Tan is given a journal and urged to free associate in an effort to recall his past life.
