Rosie is a 1965 Indian Malayalam film, directed by P. N. Menon and produced by Mani Swami. The film stars Prem Nazir, Kaviyoor Ponnamma, Thikkurissi Sukumaran Nair and P. J. Antony in lead roles. The film had musical score by KV Job. Rosie was one of the first malayalam film to be shot completely outdoor.

Velayudan's existence poses a problem to all the members of the joint family. Velayudhan is a twenty - year old man, but he has the intelligence of a child. The head of the joint family thinks Velayudan symbolizes the curse which hangs heavy over the house. To his mother he is source of constant sorrow. His uncle's daughter is his would be bride. He is attached to her. She is very kind to him and refuses to treat him as a mad man. Velayudan triggers problems one after the other and every new lapse help only to put fresh chains. He refuses to feel he is mad. In the end Ammukutty is given away in marriage to an old widower.

Venu (Prem Nazir) who owns a glass factory in Ernakulam goes to America for higher studies. Kochappi (Muthiah) is the neighbor of Kuncheria (Kottarakara Sreedharan Nair), a bullock cart owner. Kochappi is a ferry owner and his son Anthony (Satyan) is in love with Kuncheria's daughter Rahel (Sharada). Their parents decide to get them married according to the wish of Rahel and Anthony. Chandy (Thikkurissi Sukumaran Nair) is a rich landlord of the village and his son Rajan (Prem Nazir) returns to his village after doing his studies abroad. Rajan gets attracted to Rahel and approach her parents to express the interest to marry her. In fact Rajan was unaware of Rahel's relationship with Anthony. Chandy refuses Rajan's proposal only because Rahel is poor, but finally agreed with his sons wish. Rahel's greedy parents agrees with Rajan's proposal forgetting the promise they have made to Anothony's parent. This decision creates enmity between both families, who were once good neighbors. Rahel is helpless and unable to object. Anthony falls ill and dies on the day of Rahel's marriage with Rajan. Unable to bear the grief she faints and dies after a few days. Rahel is cremated near the grave of Anthony.

An enthusiastic and talented novelist (Madhu) comes to stay in a desolate mansion named Bhargavi Nilayam. The novelist and his servant Cheriya Pareekkanni (Adoor Bhasi) experience the presence of a strange entity here. They come to know from the local people that it is a haunted house. The story is that it is haunted by the ghost of the daughter of the previous owner. The novelist and his servant encounter strange happenings here - the gramophone plays on its own, objects move around. The novelist finds some old letters written to Bhargavi (Vijaya Nirmala) by her lover Sasikumar (Prem Nazir). It is believed that the ghost of Bhargavi now haunts this house.
